She's not been on to the new thread yet but @klew356 will be along soon @GreyRock72. She does a mixture of calorie counting and SW friendly meals and it's working for her. We've also had people previously who have used the my fitness pal app to calorie count while doing SW.

I'm thinking that if your OH has ready meals when he's away then you could point him towards low syn options. I had a M&S lamb rogan josh this week which was 3 syns IIRC and with a microwave rice would be low syn. Not very mse though but, at least, you're having a cheap week. 🤣

We can look up low syn ready meals if he's interested. 🤔
  • Hiya.  He steers clear of ready meals as he's diabetic and there tends to be added sugars etc in them.  I've just given him some soup portions and SW crustless quiche.

Thank you for my welcome 😊.   I am not going to group or doing it online, I was just hoping to post on here really.
I'm kind of a bit ashamed tonight after 3.5 days of perfect meals I have had a yorkshire pudding, stuffing, mash potato and gravy for tea.  In my defence I would normally have had 2 yorkshires, a lot more stuffing and would have had frozen mash whereas I boiled potatoes but did add butter and milk   I did make SW roasts and have carots and sprouts as well.  I'm annoyed with myself and am trying to get it in my head that I hate this feeling so wont do it again!  Arrghhh!
I like the idea of calorie counting along with SW, that might give me some leeway on days that I need it, I'm not sure.

Your dinner doesn't sound too bad to me @its_me. You have 15 syns a day to use. What are you using them for? 🤔

Lots of us save our syns rather than have 15 each day. It's not the official SW way but I use a syn bank. That starts on weigh in day with 105 then I use as few as possible until the weekend when I use most of them. You won't necessarily lose more weight by not having syns at all.

SW is calorie controlled in a way as fruit and vegetables and lean protein (at least two thirds of your food) are lower in calories anyway and avoiding fats and sweets helps too.

As you're not going to a group, do ask if you need anything looking up. 😊

Why as you ashamed? i had roast, yorhire 1 syn, made myself, gravy 4 syns, mashed potato's are free with no butter. Roast is one of the most SW friendly meals you can have
