I’ve been really strict on Syns these last few days as well and I’ve tried mixing stuff up. No joy though grrrr.I’m so close to my 2.5 stone award- I had wanted my 3 stone before my blood test next month but at the rate I’m going I’ll be lucky to have my 2.5 stone

B: HEXB porridge with HEXA milk and low sugar jam (1.5)
L: SW lunch pot and veg, Skinny bar (3)
D- SW lamb kebab, couscous, salad (0.5 for couscous) Grenade ice cream bar (6)
S: Crisps (6.5) Decaf coffee with Skinny syrup (0.5)

Morning all
WI last night and I just lost 1/2lb, feeling disappointed with myself but moving on and have planned my week, snacks are just about gone and no more will be bought! Thanks for your support, I appreciate it. X1 -
Morning all.
Haven't really had a chance to catch up on the thread. Haven't had my first WI yet, it's tomorrow night.
Does anyone know a good cob to have or "roll" to have a burger on (reduced fat obviously). I had a brioche one over the weekend, but they are 7.5 syns I believe. I have bought some Warburtons sliced white ones for the rest of the family, but I daren't check the syns on those!
Thank you.

@Abbafan1972 any wholemeal roll that's about 60g works as a HEB for a burger. I use the hovis pack of 6 and I think @joedenise uses the floury topped ones from Asda. Of course it's not the same as a brioche one, but the hovis ones are quite squishy which I like.
It's all systems go at the moment here with work so not a lot of time but still sticking to my healthy habits. Breakfast this morning was raspberries and yogurt, lunch is going to be a poached egg on toast with some mushrooms and dinner is a beef stir fry with noodles. Simple and quick food for a Wednesday!

@BadCat18 - don't feel disappointed with 1/2lb off, as GTQ said it's a loss! I got to target losing just 1/2lb most weeks, with the odd lb now and again. Did you take your measurements before you started? If not I'd do that now and then when you don't have a loss, or even once a month, measure again and as GTQ says you may find you have lost inches.
@Abbafan1972 - @ruby_eskimo is right I use the ready split wholemeal rolls from Asda which work well as burger buns. I actually have to make a special journey to buy them as it's not one of my regular SMs - it's about the only thing I buy in there, although DH usually has a look to see what beer they've got in case they have something he fancies!
I'm not looking forward to WI this morning as I know it's going to be a gain especially as I've definitely gone over syns this week with going to DD2s and my sister's at the weekend, neither of which really understand SW or why I do it - they both think I'm already skinny! I wish I felt that way but I know I'm not comfortable at this weight.
Today's plan:
B - cheese omelette - HEA2; P
L - Jacket potato, beans, salad - S; F
D - Cassoulet, cabbage - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - none planned
Syns - sausage in cassoulet - need to check syns but can't until I've been to WI as lost access to website!
Have a good day.

Morning all, it's funny how food chat can inspire you as I'm now fancying a burger and onions
Breakfast is going to be a sweet omelette with banana, mango and yoghurt, lunch will be the last of the red pepper and tomato soup and a little left over portion of last night's chilli and dinner might be a prawn salad - to use up the prawns and seafood sauce and just cos I fancy it! Sauce is low fat so shouldn't be too high in syns.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
I woke up at 5.30am today so I was starving by breakfast and it was freezing so I sacked my usual fruit and yog for somethinh hot...I love that about slimming world.
Food today:
B: veggie omelette, baked beans, cheese (HEA)
L: Soup
T: Dahl, extra veg and maybe rice - depends how hungry I am.
The other HEA is for milk and not sure what I'll use my HEB for...how exciting!....1 -
Don't be disheartened @BadCat18. It's a start.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 If you can lose when you've been snacking, just think how you could do if you stick to plan.
Obviously, you can use syns for your burger bun if you must @Abbafan1972 but if it's a HEB then all the better. If it's bigger than 60g, you could just add extra syns as long as it's wholemeal. Personally, I'd prefer wholemeal as I think many burger buns can be tasteless or too sweet. If your family still want brioche, it's not much extra work to keep a pack of HEB rolls in the freezer just for you.
I had my half Crunchie last night at football. DH tried to persuade me to have a celebratory glass of wine when we got back but I refused as I knew I wouldn't want to stop at one little glass. I suppose it's a psychological thing but I'm really not suited to a small daily treat. I like the freedom of the syn bank but each to his own. 😊
Sorry to hear you've hit a bit of a plateau @MrsRyan. You've done ever so well to get this close to 2.5 stone. I was wondering whether because you've lost so much you may need to go to 15 syns a day? Not sure if there's a cut off weight. 🤔I suppose t's best to ask your consultant.
Good luck for WIs today and tomorrow. In some ways, I'll be glad to get mine out of the way and see what I have to deal with. I'll be 100% on plan today so there's nothing else I can do.
Today's EE plan-
B- Fried eggs (P), mushrooms, tomatoes (S), HEB toast, HEA1 milk
L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), spring onions and pickles (S)
D- SW Bolognese (S,P), spaghetti (F), HEA2 Parmesan
Syns- 01
