Regarding Hellman’s LTL mayo, it’s been rep packaged in light blue labels - a tiny bit lighter than the ordinary light mayo - it says only 11 calls on the label. Jars aplenty in Morrison’s this morning.
roast chicken, pots and veg in abundance for dinner today with cheese and crackers (a and b) for supper with grapes and cut up apple.I’m remembering how much I enjoy my SW meals 🤗1 -

In my weigh in between Xmas and new year I put on 3.5lb. Last week's weigh in I was dreadibg more catch up weight gain but had lost 4.5lb, so 1lb off over Xmas overall. Chuffed to bits and so glad I braved the scales when I felt nervous about seeing my weight.
On top of that I finally braved looking at my bank balance, and although it leaves me a little on the tight side, I have £50 per week for food, petrol and general spending which is doable and thus will avoid me going into my overdraft. I'm so relieved. Last year I tried really hard to get back in the black in my main bank account, and pay my mum and bf back for loans due to moving house unexpectedly (although I still have sone credit cards to clear). So a great start to 2022 in that regard too.
I use a Resolute card for weekly spending and try to leave my bank card at home and this has made it easier for me to take back control of my finances.2 -
No Denise or Maman? that's strange hope they are ok
Greyrock well done on your loss and sorting you finances out.
Onion Bhaji
i just used onion, dry fry it, sweet potato i did in the microwave and scooped the potato out and mashed it down, then added 1/2 teaspoon cumin , turmeric and chilli powder and mixed it altogether, was quite spicy. Made into balls and put on a fry lighted tray then sprayed them and put them in the oven .
Scotch eggs
5% pork mince, makes sure you season it i use mixed herbs, garlic and paprika, whizz smooth, mold round eggs, 1 pack does 5 eggs, then roll in dry couscous i flavour mine with paprika, i did these in acti but you can do in the oven, spray them with frylight half way through cooking turn and spray againSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:2 -
I'm here @bubbs and I think @joedenise was visiting her sister.🤔
Computer was playing up so didn't get to post yesterday but did read on my phone although broadband was too slow and clunky to post.
Some brilliant losses and I'm really struck by how small the gains have been over Christmas. It seems we all indulged a bit but then got back on plan and it's showing up. Well done all! 👏🏼 I do hope the same is true of me when I go to WI this week.
Well done on your finances @GreyRock72. So pleased you posted that you can do SW on your budget as many people will say that SW is expensive. It really doesn't have to be. Eating a small amount of lean protein, some carbs and filling up with veg is both healthy and cheaper than buying loads of processed stuff.
Stayed on plan yesterday and enjoyed weekend wine which was the first dip into the foodbank so loads left. I'll use more today and then back to low syn until WI on Thursday.
We had chicken jambalaya for dinner last night and I finished off the LO savoury rice today. It was very tasty.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, red berries (S), banana (F)
L- ham (P), savoury rice (F,S), beetroot and leaves (S)
D- roast chicken (P), SW roast potatoes, LM stuffing balls (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns- gravy 4, weekend wine😋3 -
Hi all, @maman is right I was at my sister's and only got home a short while ago! As expected it's been a very high syn weekend! Was hoping DD2 would have wholemeal bread but she didn't so my cheese sandwich ended up costing me 10 syns!
Dinner at my sister's was good as she did a roast pork dinner and actually didn't use any oil at all however there were plenty of red wine syns consumed!
Breakfast was a bit synful but I only had one sausage but it was streaky bacon so 7.5 syns there and then lunch added a further 5 syns!
Still at least I'm home now so can get back to SW friendly meals. I'm doing hunter's chicken, roast potatoes, roasted veg, cabbage, green beans & peas.
Hope your knees are OK @bubbs and not hurting too much.
Well done everyone on your losses. @maman is right there are some quite small gains for Christmas and New Year! I'm sure mine is going to be quite big because of having 2 weeks all inclusive and then 2 weeks in France in the few weeks before Christmas! Still at least once I've weighed I'll know exactly how much I need to do.
Hope you've all had a good day.2 -
To be honest it's helped by the fact that I've got some food in the freezer to use up. I tend to batch cook and freeze portions for lunch and dinner as I live alone. It def works out cheaper that way. But it's def possible on a lower budget. I do spend more on fruit and veg than I used to, but then I'm not buying so much treatey processed stuff. Batch cooking and freezing meat so I can take advantage of offers helps too. It's a case of being a bit careful and not buying perishables that may not get used, and buying seasonal veg and fruit rather than more expensive out of season items. 😁2

Absolutely the right way to do SW @GreyRock72. I think most, if not all of us, batch cook and freeze portions for easier and cheaper meals. Buying seasonal fruit and veg also helps of course.
