Morning all, trying very hard to snow here but thankfully sleet is winning for now!
Years ago when DH was alive and both sons lived at home, I never told them the changes I made to cooking and recipes! Now both DS's cook the SW way and eldest is a doctor so aware of the health benefits.
Today's plan has so far involved toast and banana for breakfast just cos I fancied it! Lunch will be tomato and red pepper soup from the freezer and dinner is steak, SW chips with roasted tomatoes, onions and mushrooms.
I'm participating in dry January so a few syns saved throughout the week too
Have a good day all.2 -
Have had lunch and have to say we will NOT be having that again! It is far too dry, there wasn't even any juice from the tomatoes. The only nice bit really was the avocado! Will be sticking to the SlimmingEats breakfast hash which is fairly similar but with fried eggs rather than baked eggs.

I agree about diet mentality @maman , it's why I always come back to slimming world...cause it's just normal eating.
Awful weather here too today, not sure if I'll venture out for my walk.
I've had my main meal at lunch time today because I want to make a soup with the left over veg before shopping day tomorrow.
Today's food:
B: Fruit, yog, benefit bars x 2
L: Aldi skinny sausages x 2 (2 syns), cheesy, onion mash (HEA), cabbage, gravy (3 syns)
My other HEA is milk for hot drinks1 -
Afternoon all
It's me very well done 😁 see you can do it 😜
Breakfast was a chunk of crustless quiche
Lunch jacket potato, cheese, ( i bought some eat lean, not cheap but you get 70g for 1 hexa!) i only had 35g and salad.

Well done @Its_time. You got a loss! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Hopefully it'll motivate you to keep going.
I didn't know about the arthritis @ruby_eskimo. Even more respect now for your exercise.😊
@Abbafan1972, I agree with @Jellybaby, just don't tell the family that it's a SW recipe. You could always say you've more time to cook things like casseroles now you're working from home and can put them on earlier in the day. To be fair, most of the food we eat isn't from a specific SW recipe, just what I used to cook before but adapted to make it SW friendly. I do a super beef in red wine casserole that's just one syn (2 tbsps of cornflour shared) where I use a Tesco red wine stockpot and I'm absolutely sure my DH doesn't know there's no 'real' wine in it. It's delicious. I think you're on the right lines with something like pasta or chilli for a meal after WI. Good luck tonight. I'm sure you'll feel better once you've got back to group.
I don't know of any flavoured sausages either @FrankieM but the good news is that Aldi skinny sausages are only half a syn each! 😁 I suppose you could always sprinkle them with paprika or herbs depending on what you're eating them with. Linda McCartney's rosemary and red onion sausages are very herby and syn free ( on offer in Asda and Morrison's) but, although I like them, they taste more like stuffing balls than sausages to me.
Such a shame about the recipe @joedenise. I love avocado, wish it didn't have syns. I'm thrilled when it's added to prawn cocktail when I'm eating out. Lovely treat. 😋
Although things are much more back to normal this week, we don't have any plans to eat out so it'll be much easier to stay 100% on plan until WI next Thursday. I've written my menu and shopping list ready for tomorrow. Sounds like a lot of work but it's really just a list of 7 main meals and checking the fridge to make sure I have plenty of eggs and things for breakfasts.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk, scrambled eggs (P)
L- JP (F), Bolognese (P,S), pickled cabbage (S)
D- Austrian ham hash (P,S,F and HEA2 cheese topping) with cauli and broccoli (S)
Syns- 0
That means 105 syns in the bank, still intact. 😁
