One of my sisters rang and mum said he has had a lie down and eaten all his tea, bet he was starving! tbh i don't know what he ended up with last night as mum could not go as wasn't well. He has to go back in a few weeks, that's if he is not there again before then as seems to be every 2 weeks at the moment :(

It's very windy here now and supposed to be really cold and wintery showers in the morning!

Yes i am not going mad though as don't want a big gain.

Chicken lemon and garlic casserole was nice. All cooked in one pot too which was a bonus! It had carrot onion and green beans in plus I served with broccoli. Syn free. I made the bolognaise bake too and added a red wine stock pot plus a beef one. Will get DH to cook it whilst I’m travelling home tomorrow.

Glad your Dad is home @bubbs

    Hiya
Apologies I’ve been AWOL. This time of year is always difficult as I lost both my dad and a dear friend on the 20th of Feb in different years and the black dog bites me with a vengeance around that time each year . I’ve also had absolutely terrible constipation- I put 4lbs on and blew up like a balloon. I’m happy to report however that has now resolved itself and the 4lbs has gone. I haven’t WI for a couple of weeks but I’m going back next week- and im going to purchase a 12 week countdown so it’s the kick up the behind I needed.

My meds seem to have settled themselves. I can now go a little longer before I eat, and I’m hoping to go back to the gym at the end of this week.

I’ve also realised quite how pathetic my wardrobe is 😂I’ve started wearing loads of tracksuits and gym leggings. Unfortunately they are pretty much all I have in my new size as I discovered when trying to put together an outfit for going into the office tomorrow. I bought a long navy and white striped tee from River Island which arrived today and I’ve teamed that with some dark blue Primarni jeggings and my grey Superdry hoodie.

Pretty much anything goes in my office, there’s no dress code as such, but I think if I turned up in  my very favourite Arsenal x TFL warm up shirt and matching joggers or my bright pink Juicy Couture tracksuit (complete with the word ‘Juicy’ in diamante across the bum 😂) my bosses wouldn’t be amused 😂My lovely mum has kindly allowed me to order some bits from Next using her account. I’ve ordered five tunic dresses in different colours, and I have some smart leggings from River Island. They will do for now- heaven only knows what’s going to happen in summer as aside from one outfit that mum gave me and a couple of t-shirts I have no summer clothes at all that will fit. I need to have one big old clear out- OH is off in May so I might take a flexi day and do it then.

    Wednesday’s food
B: Scrambled eggs and tomatoes on toast (HEXB + 4) Skinny bar (3) Decaf coffee with HEXA oat milk
L: Mackerel, couscous (0.5) veg. Banana, grapes
D- SW chicken tikka rogan josh, rice (2) veg. Chocolate (4.5)
S: raspberries, FF natural Greek yoghurt, 25g Lizi’s low sugar granola (6)
    Syns: 20

    Night all xx

Morning all, where has the sun gone!  It's absolutely p'ing down this morning!

Sorry to hear you've been troubled by the black dog again - it's very hard but it does get easier over time.  Good idea to buy a Countdown to give you the kick up the bum you feel you need!  I think it helps to keep you on track - I'm beginning to think I should have done the same thing when I went back last month!

Today's plan - rather a lot of eggs today so not very well planned:

    B - eggs on toast - HEB; P
    L - brunch hash - P; S; F
D - Fakeaway KFC, chips, beans, creamy garlic mushrooms, corn on the cob - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - ?

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Morning all.  Thanks for the get well wishes, still coughing a bit but a lot better than I was.

Glad to hear things are settling down for you @Mrs_Ryan and hope your dad is doing ok @bubbs, enjoy the rest of your holiday!

Going to venture out for a walk this evening to the library, not my usual 5k but still it's better than nothing and don't want to push myself too much too soon.  Going to have some scrambled egg on toast for breakfast in a bit with an orange and then lunch will be soup of some kind.  Dinner is a veggie stew that was in the freezer as an easy meal and will cook some rice to go with it.

Hope everyone stays safe and warm today - the weather is definitely not looking good here.

  • Hugs for all of those in need, it is a difficult time with the weather not helping.

Lost 1lb last weigh in, hoping for a maintain today as I have been home and to say I have been off plan is an understatement. Because Mum is eating so little, I don't care what she eats as long as she gets something down her. Consequently, Iwas eating what she ate so she didn't feel guilty about having different meals. It will be what it will be, and I have been on plan since I got back (well I only had yesterday & today to reverse any damage, so best I can hope for is a maintain!) We also have a taster evening but because I have not been able to shop to make something, I have to do the one thing I hate doing, buy something, which is the mini Daim, as they are only 1 syn each, hopefully, it will be fine. Will definitely make something for the next one.
