Morning all,
Will need to watch that Derek documentary @bubbsand @beanielou - I watched the first one, just heartbreaking
Riding on the success of the neeeewwww recipe burgers, I will attempt another neeeewwww recipe tonight with SW chicken, lemon and garlic casserole. Will also make up a SW bolognaise bake for tomorrow so that DH can just pop in the oven as I'm in the London office tomorrow. If I left it to him, he would add wine and cook with olive oil
Food today will be:
B - poached eggs, grilled bacon, spinach, mushrooms - P, S
L - FF cottage cheese with pineapple, lettuce, toms, pickles - 0.5, S
D - SW chicken, lemon and garlic casserole - F, S
HEA - skimmed milk
HEA - 3 mini babybel light
HEB - hi fi bar
Syns - 0.5
Have a good day everyone,

Morning all! Yes @maman's right @BadCat18 I usually meal prep my lunches for the week on a Sunday so I can grab and go even when I'm working from home. It's what I did when I was in the office and it worked for me, so I carried it on now, but I just have a bit more flexibility in what I can have. Usually I switch it up between soups, salads, something on toast, jacket potato or leftovers from another meal.
Have been a bit AWOL this week as DH picked up a cold bug last week and conveniently passed it on to me over the weekend - cue 3 days in bed as I felt I'd been hit by a bus and couldn't regulate my body temperature. Feeling a lot better now but still have a cough (don't worry it isn't CV19, have been testing every day). Appetite has been non-existent so have been surviving on squash (had about 7 litres on Monday 😳) and the odd piece of toast that DH almost force fed me. Still no appetite today but have at least had a cup of tea with some milk and will make some miso soup with tofu at lunch for some light protein. Going to make a pasta bake for dinner to use up the veg that's been sitting in the fridge (DH has been surviving off beans on toast I think the last few days...) which I can at least freeze if I don't eat much of it.

Afternoon all, a bit late back from group today as needed to pop into a couple of different shops for just a couple of items and in both shops there was a problem at the till! First shop the woman in front couldn't remember her PIN number and her card wouldn't work contactless; second shop a woman was struggling to put a big item into a normal sized carrier bag before paying - the assistant ended up taking it from her and doing it! She had a shopping trolley so really could have put it in that (it was a light item just bulky!) so don't know why she didn't as it certainly wasn't full up!
Only lost 0.5lb again today, had hoped for a bit more but at least it's a loss. Not really expecting one this week as we're going away for the weekend so that will mean eating out but will try to do my best but to be honest I get a bit sick of having jacket potato & beans with side salad or gammon/steak, jacket and salad! Still will have to see what is on offer.
My consultant was handing out awards & prizes for various things which have been going on in group and then said my name but I had no idea why as hadn't actually taken part in any of the competitions we'd had going on and then said it was a special award for being so helpful on our Facebook page! I don't think I'm any more helpful on there than I am on here! If people ask for syn values for particular items or where to buy certain products and I know the answer then I'll do so. Must say it was a bit of a shock!
Sorry to hear you've not been feeling well @ruby_eskimo but glad that you seem to be on the mend, even if your appetite still isn't back. Just do the best you can.
@bubbs do hope your dad is doing OK.
@Coxy11 - that casserole sounds nice. You'll have to let us know what it's like.
Today's plan:
B - mushroom & pepper omelette - P; S
L - jacket potato, beans, salad - S; F
D - confit duck leg, Boulanger potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower - P; S; F; 8.5
HEA - milk
HEB - none planned
Syns - confit duck leg 8.5 (needed using up as it's been in the freezer quite a while!). May have a rum or 2 later if I fancy it
Have a good day everyone.0 -
At least it's a loss @joedenise. 👏👏👏 I think you deserve the award if you're half as helpful on FB as you are on here. 🏆
Thanks for the heads up on the burgers @Coxy11. If you like wine in your Bolognese (or other recipes), you should try the syn free wine stock pots. Tesco do own brand and I've bought Oxo ones in Morrison's. I use white for Bolognese and the red is excellent in Boeuf Bourginon. 😋
Sorry to hear you've been poorly @ruby_eskimo but glad to hear you're on the mend. 🤗
We've been out all day. Found a nice cafe for a JP. I had tuna so just syns for mayo.
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA 1 milk, banana (F), berries (S)
L- JP (F), tuna (P), salad garnish (S)
D- SW Bolognese (S, P), spaghetti (F), HEA 2 Parmesan
Syns - mayonnaise 2?0 -
What a lovely thread to read....my new glass half full mentality leads me to think 0.5 lb off is a whole 1lb on if it had gone the other way 😳
Today is
Breakfast weetabix, milk and banana syn 6 for weetabix
Dinner hovis nimble x 2 with a pork chop inside no fat and actifried a but of salad cream so 1 syn
Tea is basmati rice, stock cube, mushrooms, onions, peas and chicken. A bit of a weird one but it was all I could think of to stay on plan.
Snacks, apple and pear, will be having two dunking biscuits later with my cuppa and also had 1 sugar in my morning coffee

Another good day @Its_time. 👏 I make a chicken jambalaya with similar ingredients to your dinner but with courgettes, carrots, peppers , thyme and garlic as well as what you have. It's delicious and any LO savoury rice makes a good snack/lunch. In time you'll get used to just buying the ingredients that are SW friendly but, meantime, you're doing really well to stay on plan with what you have in. 😊1

@bubbs Glad your dad should be home by now. I think you're right to let your mum settle and feed him this evening. Did he actually get anything to eat in the hospital?
Weather was nice here too, particularly this morning while I was at group! Was quite windy this afternoon so stayed tucked up indoors in the warm.
You're on your holidays so you might as well enjoy it while you can!
That was another good day @Its_time. Nothing weird about what you had to eat tonight, it was all SW friendly so all good. You seem to have a good mindset at the moment, keep it up!
DH had another TGTG bag from Greggs a couple of days ago so we're going over to DD1s tomorrow to offload all the sweet stuff - she has got the sweetest tooth I know of anyone! He has even said he isn't going to bother with Greggs or Costa bags any more. I tried for a Morries bag last night as apart from avocados I haven't got much fruit and veg in the fridge! I don't need much shopping tomorrow but will probably pop into either Lidl or Sainsbury to pick some up plus I want to get some WW wraps as have run out.
