Been helping DS for years (I know it's not good) as neither him nor his GF are any good with money. We are making headway with paying off more controlled debt i.e. vehicle finance and putting money away to pay bills annually. Their mortgage is all tidy and coming down very well. It is always overpaid, and I aim to pay by rounding down to the next £10 on the interest. He is finished paying bank of mum now (I know it's the cheapest but if I am not repaid, he wouldn't be able to borrow again if needed) so the next focus will be paying extra full payments on his vehicle finance and hopefully will be done by the end of next year. That will be 9 months ahead.

But as a mum, you know it's not good, but you do whatever you need to do for your children. Hats off to you for trying to get them into good habits. xx

I've managed £16.60 today, rounding down all my debts, and then tidying up my current account. It certainly adds up! I'll round down my debts again when the statements are sent. xx

  • Hello all. It’s been a while. Family bereavement kinda put things to one side so I haven’t really been TTing.

What I have done though is doing a daily £1.01 payment my Amazon account, resulting in a Chase around up of £0.99 going to an account that has a 5% interest rate.

I’ll have a tot up at some stage to see how much has been going into that saver account.
