@TwibbleDee The green one is fabulous for you then, and the blue not. So we'll talk of the green one only
@MoneysavingmadGem Yes you can, as to where - I couldn't say. I'm think some with a bit of texture would look really nice with the pinafore. Or would leggings be suitable (if you were wearing it with boots)?Wealth is not measured by currency3 -

2023 Fashion on the Ration: Start with 66. Nightdress - 6 = 60 remaining.5 -
Have yet to try them myself, but everyone seems to rate Snag tights very highly and they do wooly ones. The ‘wear it every day’ challenge was something set up by the company that makes the dresses? I think - it was a challenge to wear the same dress every day for 100 days, obviously with different accessories etc but designed to show how sustainable and wearable wool is. I’m grasping at memory here, so don’t rely on this as factual!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.4

@CAFCGirl yes I was thinking textured ... I used to wear leggings with other skirts ... but I have now outgrown them! Thank you covid/Xmas 2021!
@TwibbleDee that's a great idea!
@PollyWollyDoodle I have seen snag advertised on my fb ... wasn't sure how good they were. I will have a look there.
Hope everyone is keeping warm? Weather here has turned chilly and frosty, I finished a crochet knee blanket from scraps from an old project which I'm finding useful whilst working from home!5 -

For about two years everyone and their cat has been telling me how marvellous Snag tights are and I've been politely thanking them but explaining I don't like strangling my legs in nylons....
NOW I FIND THEY DO 50% PURE WOOL!!!!!
Admittedly they do tights, not stockings, but I shall try them, and if I find them less good than stockings I can at least chop the legs off and make stockings out of them
HURRAH! thankyou, Polly!!!

Well just finished my pinafore. Still yet might add buttons! So thats 1/4 that's been sitting since last year completed! Yay!
Now to get some thick tights for underneath? Can you still get thick wool ones or is it all plastic nylon now? Best place to get comfy tights?
And it's a fab colourYou inspire me to stick to my New Year's resolution to make something using my sewing machine, it would be so cool to win a round against it have something I'd cut out and put together myself.

Just dropping in to say hi. Not bought anything clothes wise as wardrobe doors are stuffed. I need to do a cull I think, but I'm still trying to get rid of Mum's stuff.
On the plus side my wool has turned up, and I've started my knitting. Its the first time I've done a jumper neck first. The increases are doing my head in! Increases are to be made evenly, and when I do the sums it turns out that I should be making a stitch every 7.5 stitches!Sealed Pot Challenge no 035.
Fashion on the Ration - 27.5/66 ( 5 - shoes, 1.5 - bra, 11.5 - 2 pairs of shoes and another bra, 5- t-shirt, 1.5 yet another bra!) 3 coupons swimming costume.8 -
Moneysavingmadgem - no mending pleaseeeeeeee!!!!!! Your pinefore dress is lovely and just my colour, I have 'Tilly's' pattern for one but not got around to making it yet. I'm another one who has heard good reviews about snag tights but never had any.
Tried a bit of knitting on an old wip, but after 15mins hand and wrist hurting too much so gave up, but I will keep trying as knitting is one hobby I love. Will have to take some pain killers next time!
