I like seasalt too, my recently purchased navy and white dress was this one - much reduced in the sale. Seasalt picure - not me!

I really like seasalt fabrics but I don't like 3/4 sleeves, so many of their styles have them atm.

@Wraithlady, do you have wool you are looking to sell? Do you have any chunky wool, not too bothered about the colours4

@Gem-gem - I am sorry. I’d totally missed that you are recovering from a procedure. Hope you’re feeling loads better and that the results of the scope are good news. That hat is lovely.Liverpool_Anne said:@Wraithlady, do you have wool you are looking to sell? Do you have any chunky wool, not too bothered about the colours

@Cherryfudge I had 22 posts to catch up on and was ever so delighted to be entertained, as it all worked out in the end, by the pink on your top. Super in not giving up on it resulting in a discarded garment and super detective work from members of the village hall.
Thank you for your insight into door curtain mending and making. It's yet to be solved but I do have a pair of curtains that I could reuse the liners from if I sew together in the middle. That would just leave a front piece of fabric to source but I won't be in a quandary about it because I do have blankets and if I need to I will fashion one to stop the draughts.
I do have a charity shop buy to report. It's a Sainsburys labelled black corduroy knee skirt. I'm really rather taken with the find.
I give my love to you all in Much Mending on The Borrow.Liv

Liverpool Anne - It's a funny thing sleeve length - very much personal preference. I avoid sleeveless and cap sleeve. Anything between normal short sleeve length and long sleeve is fine. I've had real problems in the past finding dresses that weren't sleeveless so like the fact that seasalt do more with a longer sleeve length.

Hi all
@skogar, thanks for the info about the sunscreen ingredients, definitely worth checking out the labels
@skogar and Gem-gem, I 'm afraid I just don't understand 3/4 sleeves, too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. I will wear sleeveless vest tops in the summer or under other things for an extra layer and normal t shirt length sleeves, otherwise just full length sleeves for me. The current seasalt stuff is their autumn / winter wear and they had a jacket with 3/4 sleeves. How is that going to keep you warm. You'd have to have a long sleeve t shirt and wrist warmers for it to be usefully wearable. I also find when I try to push them up to do things like the washing up they just don't stay up, I get exasperated with them
@PipneyJane, I don't really mind what sort of yarn it is but bearing in mind I am going to try to make hot water bottle covers I don't think wool would cope with the heat. I am trying to do the second hand September thing which is why I am trawling through the charity shops. It is very kind of you to keep an eye open for me as I have only once ever seen any yarn of any kind in a local cs. I will give it 1 more round of the cs and then take a look on the fb selling and 3bay to see if I can spot any. If that fails I will have to wait until October and take a trip to hobbycraft.
Take care everyone2 -
Interesting discussion - I never wear sleeveless as I don't like the tops of my arms. I like three -quarter length sleeves as they don't get in the way when writing, typing, washing up etc. If it's warm enough to wear just the top or dress then I'm ok, and if it's cold then I'll wear a jacket or cardigan over the top, although some of those are also 3/4 sleeved. I don't think I'd even realised that this was a feature of SeaSalt clothes.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.4
