  • @Wraithlady, do you have wool you are looking to sell? Do you have any chunky wool, not too bothered about the colours
  • Hi all

@skogar, thanks for the info about the sunscreen ingredients, definitely worth checking out the labels

@skogar and Gem-gem, I 'm afraid I just don't understand 3/4 sleeves, too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. I will wear sleeveless vest tops in the summer or under other things for an extra layer and normal t shirt length sleeves, otherwise just full length sleeves for me. The current seasalt stuff is their autumn / winter wear and they had a jacket with 3/4 sleeves. How is that going to keep you warm. You'd have to have a long sleeve t shirt and wrist warmers for it to be usefully wearable. I also find when I try to push them up to do things like the washing up they just don't stay up, I get exasperated with them

@PipneyJane, I don't really mind what sort of yarn it is but bearing in mind I am going to try to make hot water bottle covers I don't think wool would cope with the heat. I am trying to do the second hand September thing which is why I am trawling through the charity shops. It is very kind of you to keep an eye open for me as I have only once ever seen any yarn of any kind in a local cs.  I will give it 1 more round of the cs and then take a look on the fb selling and 3bay to see if I can spot any. If that fails I will have to wait until October and take a trip to hobbycraft
    Take care everyone
  • Interesting discussion - I never wear sleeveless as I don't like the tops of my arms.  I like three -quarter length sleeves as they don't get in the way when writing, typing, washing up etc. If it's warm enough to wear just the top or dress then I'm ok, and if it's cold then I'll wear a jacket or cardigan over the top, although some of those are also 3/4 sleeved. I don't think I'd even realised that this was a feature of SeaSalt clothes.
