I’m tired just reading that! The Much Mending WI will be very proud of you. We haven’t had a ‘jam rally’ - some of them used to get together and pool the local produce and have a mass jam-making/chutney/pickling sessionLife is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.3

I agree - a huge and impressive list! No jam rallies here (on holiday in deepest countryside) but DH has alredy found the local help yourself box of apples and plenty of blackberries.
The linen shirt I bought the other day is now troublesome on two counts: too wide across the shoulders and buttonholes too loose! The latter is easy to rectify but I didn't think to bring a needle and thread. The shoulders might need thought...I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I had thought I might need to take a tuck at the outer edge of the shoulder which would hoik the sleeve up. Your version sounds much more controlled and could look good (depending on my sewing). I'd be interested to see how far you stitched into the front/back of your shirt, if at all.
ThanksI think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thanks
I thought about trying to conceal the bnarrowing and then just went for making it obvious and doing two parallel (ish!) tucks to make sure it looked deliberate
The photos were taken all in one go just now in the same lighting but goodness how different the colour looks1 It's most like the second pic with the yellow background showing...
Has this worked? If pics not visible I'll try using different method...wo

@Laura_Elsewhere we can see your photos.
@Cherryfudge given the way fashion is trending, my money is on shoulder pads making a comeback soon. Would they make a difference?

Oh, I can't work out how to search this thread for just my posts!
I think I was on 36 coupons, and I just bought a fleece heated hoodie which would be categorised as a jumper, so 5 coupons. So I'm now at 41 coupons for the year (or until I find a post which says I've used more than that!).Live the good life where you have been planted.

Thank you @Laura_Elsewhere, it certainly looks like a deliberate fashion statement! You did well. How is your skirt progressing, by the way? Or did I miss you completing it? Things were a bit busy here for a while.
@PipneyJane, I wouldn't be surprised if shoulder pads didn't make a come-back! Yes, I think they would work for this problem. I know I could just wear a jumper over the shirt but I think it would look nice over a vest top too, in which case the shoulder line would show.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. Hello to all!
Are we all neck deep in jam jars and foraged goodies?
No coupons to report but there will be on Friday.
I am impatiently awaiting a 'drop' - who knew of such things.... and it's payday tomorrow so this is my 'reward/treat' for myself.
Upon arrival and a fit check, I'll update my coupon spend - just in case they have to go back.
In coupon free news. I've been on a second hand mini spree for the coming season.
A cream sweatshirt with Mother Nature design, an M&S childrens range (age 16), 99p on ebay
A pair of black corduroy Run and Fly dungarees, £15 - more expensive than my usual second hand buys but actually cheap for the brand. Depop
A pair of checked fleece pj bottoms 99p ebay new with tags
A tshirt dress top - very 90's, also 99p ebay again
A pair of Timberland sneaker style boots - epic ebay purchase for £2.20 - not much wear but a little water mark - not sure how to remove that... or if it's possible.
An oversized tshirt top £4 DePop.
I'm also currently hankering after a boilersuit on ebay as well!
Seems my style is going very much eccentric art teacher/pottery school/book nerd.
In search of a new bag but I might trawl the charity shops for that this week.Wealth is not measured by currency6 -
@CAFCGirl wow, what a haul!
The boilersuit - well, a sirensuit is certainly very practical and stylish if you're caught in a raid...
The 'timberlands' - what are they made of? If it's nubuck/suedette stuff then an ordinary pencil-eraser is excellent, fine sandpaper if it's very stubborn.
Years ago a then-teenage niece and her pal stayed over at the family home arriving in very late after a night on the tiles. I woke early next morning and came down to two pairs of very scruffy worn stilettos in the hall so I spent a while cleaning them up - they came up almost like new! It amused me, but niece and her pal were astonished2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:
