MrsCD said:Finished this top today....had the yarn and pattern since before covid so I thought it was time to make it!
Not sure where or when I'll wear it...maybe with a strappy top underneath or a long sleeved t shirt under for Autumn. It's a bit holey to wear on its own.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Thank you. I bought a pack of 3 strappy tops to wear underneath, but, as a lot of the reviews said, they are very snug, so I need to go up a size! I haven't put any weight on, in fact I'm trying hard to lose some, but these tops were very snug. Maybe like bodycon ? type clothing but nice fabric, so I'll update my numbers when I decide if I'm keeping them.
I'm another victim of the number snatcher....I think I was up to 12.5 so I'll go from there.2025 Fashion on the ration

I'm assuming you mean the problem where Forum signatures got re-set, @MrsCD? Given how wide-spread but random it was, I can only surmise that it happened because you were unluckily logged in at a particular time, on a particular day, while Systems were doing some work in the background. (It hasn't affected everyone.)
I'm now keeping a list on my iPad and another in my email notebook. (They don't talk to each other any more.)

Yes, I meant my totals in my signature, but sometimes what comes through my fingers onto the screen isn't quite what my head wants to say!

Interesting discussion about essential oils. I add 20 drops of rosemary oil to a bottle of the cheapest shampoo I can find, usually Lidl, and it cures and prevents dandruff/itchy scalpIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!5

I do that, @maryb, with peppermint oil for the same reasons. I also add about 10 drops to 20-ish ml of oil and rub a drop of that between my toes daily, whenever I have a tinea flare up. Continue for a week after it heals. Since I started doing this, I only get flare-ups once a year, whereas before…well, it was a chronic condition, not full blown, itchy athlete’s foot but something lower grade. It didn’t matter what I did/what I used, before, it never completely went away.
Peppermint oil is anti-fungal.

I have to be all glom and doom but I really can't emphasise enough that essential oils need to be diluted correctly, or you risk developing a sudden major reaction which can cause hospitalisation.
I used them neat or in very strong dilution for years and years, especially lavender, and now think I'm ruddy lucky to have got away with it. I even one friend who has to be careful about what she *eats* because she ended up with a reaction that includes a range of plants inc cinnamon which of course is in masses of foods - and that is from using essential oils in too-strong dilution, which had been no problem for years and then bam, massive problem. And more than one friend who has the skin reaction problem.
Tisserand have done a really good safety page. https://tisserandinstitute.org/safety-guidelines/
And never ever put essential oils in a bath - that's a great way to get undiluted EOs onto some of your most delicate skin, yikes!!!

@Laura_Elsewhere, thank you for that informaation. I occasionally use lavender oil and lemongrass as a midge deterrent dabbed on the back edge of my curtains as I always have the bedroom window open but not on my skin. I did once have a bad reaction to a bath oil that contained ylang ylang oil but this was a bought product and I have avoided it ever since. I like the idea of essential oils but don't know enough about them, though lots of products seem to use them so I will have to educate myself before I do anything else.
Take care everyone6 -
@Liverpool_Anne - we bought "bridal net" which is a much smaller mesh than ordinary net, and we use white blu-tack to put it across our windows as an insect-screen, so we very rarely have any insects - worth trying? We have different colours too
And you'd think it would be horribly visible and obvious but it really is barely visible even when you look.
