Stunning @keepcalmandcraft. Absolutely stunning!
@2Scratters Have a stern word with the shoes. They must be ganging up on your sewing machine, so that it's cowering, scared in the corner.

@Liverpool_Anne I am very sorry about the result of the match on Saturday. I watched it with my DH and, sadly, Liverpool suffered from an attack of Barn Door Syndrome* despite dominating. After the reports of what happened outside, you must be relieved that you didn't get tickets.
Back on topic, I have a spend to declare. 10 coupons spent on 4 bras and 2 pairs of matching knickers. These are beige Tango balconette bras from Bravissimo and will form part of my every day wear. I haven't purchased new bras in years and I'm expecting my current batch of bras to start wearing out soon, since I purchased them in November 2017 and they get used and washed in the machine every week. Also, it will be nice to again have bras that pack down flat when I travel, unlike my current "t-shirt bras" that are padded to keep their shape.

The post box topper is really lovely, I don't think I would have the patience to make anything like that.
No new clothes bought, no clothes at all have been bought come to think about it. I have mended my lottie jeans, patched the worn out area (between legs) with some denim from another pair, so they should keep me going this year, and there's plenty more for another few patches
Right I will go back now and catch up.

@PipneyJane, yes to be honest I am glad I didn't get a ticket. I have been in a few scary situations over the years at football matches but nothing like that. My nephew has worked that stadium and says it is in a very rough area and they always have problems but that would make you think the police would know how to deal with it, apparently not. It was so shocking I am just glad nobody was killed though listening to some of the accounts I think it was just luck. It wasn't just ordinary fans either who were caught up in it. Former players, current players family and friends and even our metro mayor, Steve Rotherham was attacked. I think the police and UEFA have got some hard questions to answer. The hardest thing for me to hear was the authorities blaming the fans. We are still trying to convince some people we weren't to blame for Hillsborough. The result of the game really isn't important when so many people were put in danger and on a positive note the parade on Sunday was amazing. Sorry to go completely off topic peeps
Take care everyone8 -
Hello, sneaking back in. I have well and truly blown my allowance and DD's already! Will need to resort to the black market.
I visited a well known high street stores underwear department and bought 7 new bras (only have 2 that actually fit currently). My too small ones are either going to recycling or my sister. My shape has changed and if I continue to lose weight it is not guaranteed the style of bras will now suit me.
DD just keeps growing and has a whole new wardrobe. Her clothes are sold at the carboot or passed to my younger nieces. One particular carboot we sell at ladies clothes sell very well so going to sort through my wardrobe again.
In terms of make do and mend, OH has a few work trousers gone at the knees, so using my old jeans to patch and repair them. All will be sown by hand (well I will attempt too). Otherwise my mum can sort them. Most repairs end up at her house.5
