Well done on the dentist, walking and the couch to 5K......impressive and shows you must be getting fitter!

Ouch to the car costs though.......youre in good company though. Think I said ours had cost us £420. A couple of days later, we went to get in the car to go to the gym and car wouldnt start again!! Called out the RAC and the battery needed replacing so another £100+.  At least we have the money put aside for it. I can remember when we lived in our first house when we were in our twenties, our then car costing us £500+ to get it through its MOT and we were so hard up we had no savings and had to borrow the money off my parents to get the work done and slowly paid them back. I think I cried 
Hope the mammogram goes ok.

Oh my goodness @Kantankrus_Mare ,cars cost so much don’t they.  Thank goodness we have done the same as you and have a savings pot for the car, though we now need to keep topping it up for the next few months, so praying nothing else goes wrong with it!

Moneysaving / household saving:

• I noticed my geranium seedlings are going to need pricking out, (i cant do this until tomorrow though as i dont have time today).  I love geraniums as they look fab in my pots and hanging baskets.  By sowing them myself and growing them on it saves me loads of money, as each large plant would normally cost me approx £5 in April / May when I need them.  This way i can have loads of cheap plants ( you can take cuttings in late summer and overwinter them inside but i haven't done this as i really don’t had the space for them).

Wellbeing:

• I noticed this morning that it is getting lighter in the mornings…..how fab is this.  Soon i will be able to go to my allotment earlier in the mornings which will be great.
• This morning i went to the allotment and it was lovely……it was sunny and the birds were singing.  I pruned my two apple trees and then made a list of all the jobs I’ve got to do over the next few weeks.
• When i got home i took the dog out for a walk and did my 30 minutes of brisk walking….the park was beautiful and quiet.
• This afternoon i went to see ‘Waitress’ at the theatre with my dd’s.  This is a Christmas present from 2019 before covid.  We were supposed to be seeing ‘Love never dies’ but in 2020 it was cancelled because of covid so my dd’s booked ‘Waitress’ instead.  I really enjoyed it and was thinking what a lovely day i was having….but then as we were driving home the warning light came back on our car yet again, so this put a bit of a downer on the afternoon.  So tomorrow my husband has got to take the car back to the garage yet again first thing in the morning 😱😱😱….i must say I’m getting really fed up of this car now, it is only 4 years old and this is the fourth time it’s had something wrong with it since we have had it and its only done 44,000 miles!  Hopefully it will be sorted once and for all in the morning.

Ooooh I also love geraniums. Never thought of doing from seed. Are they easy to do? I want to grow alstromeria this year which Ive never grown before. Hope you get your car sorted!!

Money / household saving:

• Opened a new bottle of my home made laundry liquid.  This is the last one of my batch so i’ll have to start saving some of my dh coke bottles ready to use when i make my next batch.
• I think i forgot to say the other day, but i am in a neighbourhood ‘whats app’ group which i haven’t posted in before (people post with information, or if they are selling / giving away things).  The last couple of years i have had to buy newspapers to make my ‘newspaper plant pots’ but the other day i decided to ask if anyone has any old newspapers they didn’t want and this lovely lady messaged me…..she gave me a whole big carrier bag full for free, which will last me ages.  I am so pleased.

Wellbeing:

• I went to the allotment early this morning.  It was a 35 minute walk the last time i walked it a couple of years ago, so as i didn’t have the car, i decided to coincide this with my ‘couch to 5k’ run.  I took my breakfast with me in my back pack and ate it when i got to my plot.  I didn’t feel too bad when i got there, which was good.  However, I was really pleased on my way home as i walked briskly’ back and it only took me 26 minutes…..so i knocked 9 minutes off my previous walking time……i must be starting to get fitter!  
• Sunday is my chosen start date for my diet.  I think my mind is in a better place now, so hopefully it will work this time 🤞🤞🤞.  I want to lose 52lbs before Christmas which is a tall order….but i can but try lol.
• I started off this morning feeling angry over the car, but my dh took it to the garage this morning and they reset the ‘error codes’ in the car and they apologised saying this should have been done yesterday.   So we are now keeping fingers crossed it’s sorted this time.  Ive taken it for a drive this afternoon and it seems ok but i’m not getting my hopes up yet.

Anyway, it’s time to walk the dog 🐶….. slowly, as i’ve already done my exercise for today.

Im really impressed with your run to the allotment!! I couldnt run to mine and its a 10 minute walk away!! In fact I went this afternoon and took the car as the sun was shining. Dug over a bit more of a bed I am clearing of flower bulbs. Some spring, some summer. They have been in for almost 5 years and the bed is full of weeds so thought it was time to clear. Quite time consuming though and my back plays up quickly. Perils of being tall I guess.......might have a look if anyone does a spade for tall people. Also managed to weed around my cut down raspberry bed. I have a compost bin that needs emptying and homemade compost can go round the bushes and around the rhubarb thats springing to life.
My husband always says there is nothing to do at this time of the year but I was mentally clocking up jobs to keep me busy for the next month or so weather permitting. Had Jeremy Vine on whilst I was there and listened to a lady that was telling her story as it is Holocaust Memorial Day. A very moving story.!!

Hi @Kantankrus_Mare , i always write my dairy on my ‘notes’ first on my ipad (as i make so many mistakes) and then copy it over…. the emojis are on there ( lol the dog one just came up).
I never thought of the size of spades for taller people, i know you can get special spades for people with back problems so im sure you must be able to get one that is longer for taller people?
The rhubarb really is springing into life isnt it…..i cant wait for summer at the allotment, can you?
By the way i am no where near running the whole way to the allotment yet, today i was only running for 90 seconds then brisk walking for 2 minutes and repeating until 20 minutes were up…..so lol i think all in all this week i am only running a total of 9 minutes 🤣🤣🤣
