Thanks @MovingForwards and @savingholmes
I was up and out of the house without breakfast, after being told off for putting something in the kitchen in the wrong place. Totally fed up and too old to be in this position frankly. On the other hand, her home, her rules. I get it, but I must find a home and soon. I saw a few possibilities and I've booked for next Saturday...
I'm away for the weekend tomorrow. With a fun friend! I need to kick back...Too nervous to cook here, so I can enjoy cooking for my friend. Thinking something simple like chickpea wraps with garlic mushrooms.
It is hard not to spend when you are out of the house so much, a few coffees and a snack plus fares and I'm over budget. I couldn't do food in advance, as I needed to get out fast.
The new plan is make my food for the next day in the evening and pack it all in a cool bag. The plan is to wake early and leave early and go to sleep early so we don't overlap too much. I bought a lunchbox, but need to buy a cool bag. If I pack breakfast I can have it in a coffeeshop. I can eat all my meals out of the house. I will build a coffee into the budget...
I've been careful with money but it won't stretch until the next lot of money arrives.I need to think about what I can do about this in the next few days...
When I think about what is happening in the world this is all small change I will work it out. Onwards and upwards!
Have a good weekend.

Sorry to hear about the latest difficulties DIA .I still think that coffee etc should not be put back as it is an escape route should things get a bit much .I have my angle ( too difficult and long winded to explain here ) regarding keeping debt free
For many of us , it's nigh on impossible to be debt free to be Frank and honest . I think it's just a case of maybe a small bit in the red at times with paying back being quick rather than having it hanging over for many months . It may be frowned on what I say here, but looking at the bigger picture and global reset whatever we have looks like it will be taken away eventually. Enough of that 🤐
It's good and perhaps a little surprising that you are checking out a few properties next week 🤞
Great to hear about your weekend with your friend . That'll be a great tonic!
Have a good one !
I'll leave it there ..😼7 -

It sounds really stressful, and unnecessary. Have you any idea why this person is being so awkward?
Really hope you can get something sorted quickly. ((((hugs)))) XXI Believe.....

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy5 -
my view is either you are a guest in which case you should to some extent have to follow house rules, or you a paying lodger, in which case you should expect not to be micro-managed. maybe your friend is realising she prefers her own company - so that's not a comfortable position for you as her guest.
I know exactly what you mean about being out and about costing a lot - it reminds me of when I would take my kids to sporting events when they were old enough to (and wanted to) be left to their devices - even a little coffee and cake and newspaper can add up very quickly - especially if its a bit miserable
good luck DIA - enjoy your break with your other friend - maybe try and have a brain storming where you explore more off the wall situations - some things that you could do- reconsider - just getting a room somewhere spareroom.co.uk sort of thing
- investigate house sitting services - where you might even get paid (although location is a challenge)
- take a 6 month tenancy (although fees are a killer) to regroup and destress then get back in the game over summer
