I'm trying to keep engaging with tech although I struggle it has to be said.
However, I had a successful zoom meeting this week (First ever. I know!) I have also posted a problem in the techie site as I need to address all the info on my stolen laptop. I am going to start using all the other threads a bit more as there is a wealth of knowledge on the forum that I've been too much of a wuss to use.
Anyway, I'm now thinking there must be an easy way of just copying the information over from the external drive (my passport for Mac) so I can view it on my computer. Must be possible as they are both Mac. Surely that was the point of buying the damn thing?
Thinking of applying for a creative thingy...it will push me on and keep the creativity going. If successful I will be away for a few days but that is no bad thing under the circumstances. Once I find a home I will be less inclined to move around for a while I imagine!
It is sunny here. Cold, but sunny, so going to wash up the breakfast dishes and get out for some vitamin D
Have a good day everyone.

Can't beat a real coffee, savoured, smelt and waking up the senses.
The other sections are very useful, even if it's reading other people's queries and the replies, so much information is available and at our fingertips.
Forget about thinking of applying, just do it if it's beneficial.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.8 -
Regarding zoom ..it's relatively new tbf and I've only had a couple of zoom meetings so that's nothing to be concerned about .
As for the Mac ( and computer life in general ) 💻 it's great until things go wrong .🤬😺
As for sharing from one device to another, have you got iCloud setup? That basically shares your photos for example from your iphone to your Mac computer. The help from apple support these days has improved a hell of a lot . I recommend you contact them via 🍏.com . Go onto Mac computers page and scroll down to bottom and ask them to contact you . They normally call you on your iPhone very quickly. One other thing to mention on a tangent , is that if you download the apple store app , when you sign in it gives you a list of all the apple products you've purchased .
You May ( if you haven't done so already report the stolen MacBook on there just to finally close things and they may be able to block things etc .Best of luck
I'll leave it there ..😼7 -
Well done on the haggling, that's a great discount! Also well done on tackling all those frogs."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee6

Thanks @another_casualty I am such a rubbish techie that even your helpful comments go over my head! I don't share devices at all or do cloud storage but the good news is it is sorted now!
Thanks @MovingForwards and @jwil for the positive postings
So today I finally managed to access my missing documents after the burglary in the late summer of last year. I accessed the backup drive! After much researching and asking questions I got there. It was miraculous to view the documents after so long. So, so pleased. MASSIVE FROG eaten!
Encouraged by @MovingForwards I made an application for another creative thingy. I need to scan something over to attach to the application but scanner in storage so will go to the library in the morning to see if I can do it from there.
The plus side of not being settled is I am find I am more proactive.
Used the new soup maker to batch cook some soup. Should last a few days
In the morning before the library another BIG financial frog needs eating.
A busy week coming up that includes collecting my relatives ashes, seeing the gardener about a tree planting, counselling, and three full days of creative work!
Hoping you are ready for the new week

Some phones have scanning capabilities, it's worth a quick look online. Well done getting the application done.
Seems like a whole frog family have been dealt with getting your old documents.
