Good Afternoon 🌖
Spend day today - need to do a load of batch cooking again, and decided to buy today as was picking few things up for Mum and Dad, and bought fuel too. The app I mentioned has loads of gourmet vegetarian stuff on at the moment so got veggie mince, burgers and sausages - they will all be for free (after cashback!) which is why my grocery balance is in the negative lol. That lot will do me for 4 or 5 meals! I'm not sure how they make any money from it - unless the big brands just want to encourage shoppers to try their products? Anyway - I'm well chuffed!!! I broke the NST law and went for shop-bought coffee with ex - but have justified that spend under my 'gift fund' (already had £20 allotted) as it was a little treat for us both, and haven't seen him in ages. My visit to Mum was nice in the end and she was on good form, and even got a few giggles. Popped to see Dad after for a quick coffee and back home to relax.
Today I am grateful for:
1) The great staff at the home Mum is in and their kindness
2) For my supportive ex and that we can still share a laugh
3) Free food! Clocked up another £15 worth of free stuff today!

Happy anniversary @abundant1972
Another day in my bedroom, but tested -ve, so if it's the same tomorrow, I can spend time in the rest of the house, yippee!
Workmen on the road in front of our house, reversed down the drive with 2 trailers on the back & didn't realise that they'd pulled the pallet end of our wheelie bin storage off! Felt quite proud watching hubby stride up the road to tackle them about it! They were very apologetic
Finished all the hand sewing on the bag for my friend's birthday. Should get the lining sewed in & the handle, by machine at the weekend. Did some more knitting & I've just finished my book, so not a bad day!
Grateful for being -ve, selling another item on eboy, great music on the radioUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

10 bloomin' years on here - I can't believe it. Sending out a huge thank you to Kat (original creator of NST forum) who got me into debt busting originally... Plus to all of you who have been there along the way... in fact some of you were already here when I joined way back when!!! Old timers!!! Definitely one of life's huge perks discovering you all 😘I just looked can't believe been on here 10 years either. The people here helped me immensely when I wouldn't sleep at night, crying about debt, I could see no way out of it. Pay off your debt by xmas thread, was invaluable as well even though took me a fair few xmas's to get there. Who would have thought one day I would have money in the bank, but still Kat's ways discourage me from spending.Yesterday I had a day off and no spending. Ended up tidying up garden, cleaning car, bedrooms and little walk on the pier in the sunshine later. Think my NSD's are still in single figures will count up in a bit.5 more days left in work. Yeah time to move on face new challenges I reckon.Grateful forNew hoover making light work of my car yesterday.Sunshine yesterday nice to be out in the garden, finding bulbs coming upNo kids Saturday both busy with parties

Lots done. Very tired. Have spoken to and asked for help and solace from my ex husband 2 days on the run, so things must be desperate. just sent loads of stuff to the food bank -phoned yesterday and asked the manager if he could collect. I am not rich (just applied for UC) but there have been many times when I have struggled to feed my children (always did -never had to resort to giving them weetabics softened with tap water) and I know I have food. I don't think I need to keep my mother fed any more and the best thing I can do is to make sure that people in need are fed (still have a massive mountain of soup, baked beans and pasta because the food bank does not need more of those items.
Have had breakfast and a drink, must go and do more work - DS2 and his gf are coming to celebrate 'ONLY 2 more years to retirement' (cue Beatles Song). They did an excellent job of tidying my room and on days I've gone back under the covers are written letters to people, I've got stuff all over the bed again (plus putting bags of food on there to sort out the ones food bank could use). Plan the next bit of the campaign.
Grateful for my mum's life and especially being able to spend most of the last 5 with her, yoghurt and toast. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
Evening turtles, I didn't post yesterday but I spent on food while I was at my training course. Didn't go crazy, went for a meal deal lol. Also had to spend on fuel as it was a 300 mile round trip.
Today has been a NSD. My oyster card hasn't arrived after 2 weeks so I called up and cancelled it for a refund. Also chased some outstanding ebay orders which haven't arrived. I'm getting other post so not sure what's going on.
End of a good first week at work too so all in all can't complain.6 -
