Another better night last night thankfully.  Hopefully the cough is on the way out.  I can't get rid of the extra pillows yet though.

Quiet day planned today as it's wet.  We were going to go to a village fete but will have to see what the weather is doing.  Little miss has a number of spots on her back and arms.  I can't figure out what it might be.  She's had chicken pox, and is not unwell and they don't seem to be bothering her.  I've got all her bedding in on a hot wash.  I've googled childrens rashes and none of them look remotely similar.  I'll hoover through everywhere and have a good clean in case it's insect bites, but both the cat and dog are treated regularly.  I'll just keep an eye on them, and maybe count them to check whether they are increasing.

Hopefully sleep improving and cough on its way out ..

You're still smashing through pad boundries . Great stuff .

Approaching the DMP at the time ( 2012), was daunting when I had all of my life story in front of me in preparation for that phonecall to payplan. Within a few minutes, the stress ,apprehension and tension of talking to them was gone and a weight was taken from my shoulders . I made partial settlements a few years ago when I completed my upheaval but am still puzzled about the 6 year thing in terms of my credit being destroyed.
Hopefully won't want a loan again 🤞. Living alone is hard enough as it is 😼
I don't want an increase in credit card limit which I kept .
One final thing on that subject( apologies for going on )  is that on my banking app and indeed the Vanquis app which I used today for 1st time there are banners above mentioning loans subject to status . Annoying for me , but not for some I guess .

Anyway, I'll leave it there ..😼

Thank you, it seems to be improving thankfully!

It's amazing how a DMP can really take the pressure off isn't it.  I'm glad you managed to settle yours.  In terms of the 6 year thing - if your accounts officially default, then 6 years after the date of default, the account will automatically fall off your credit report regardless of whether you've paid it off or not.  If the account doesn't default, then it remains open, and it will fall off your credit file 6 years after you settle/close it.  So in terms of getting a clear credit report, then a default is really the quickest option.

If your accounts defaulted in 2012, then your credit report should be clear, but if they didn't default, and the end date was when you made the partial settlements, then it will be 6 years from that date.

I hate the continual offers for credit - especially those offering klarna and the like, or paypal credit every time I buy something on ebay.  I wish we could say we don't want to see those messages.

Thank you :)  My mortgage was never as large as yours, but it felt like it took forever to get to that £100k mark, but once there, it seems to be coming down much quicker.  It's a nice feeling!

I slept til 7.20am this morning, that's unheard of for me! (I'm normally up around 5-5.30am).  Cough not completely gone but so much better thankfully.

I want to carry on pottering today and clear a bit more stuff.  The kids have been tackling their bedroom so hopefully I'll be able to hoover in there later.

The kids are off to a party later, and I'm hoping I can persuade DH to take them so I can have a little peace.

Little miss's spots are fading again today thankfully.  I think they must be insect bites but I can't understand where from.  Unless it was when we went to the village fayre the other day.  None of the rest of us have them.

Have a good day everyone :)
