My DD had mild asthma as a child which caused her to have an awful cough at night and I found honey and lemon worked better than any coughmedicine she was prescribed.
Thank you,  I was going to ask if anyone else had some tips.  I've got AC's whiskey tip, not sure if we have any, but I'm going to try honey and lemon too.  I had a terrible night again last night,

Your PADs never cease to amaze me.
Thank you :)  Me too actually, I'm amazed how much it adds up!

I had a rough night again last night with constant coughing.  I went to buy some buttercup syrup this morning as that always soothes my throat.  It's much better in the day (though I had a nosebleed whilst having a coughing fit which was fun!), just at night it's a real problem.

Whilst out, we went and found little miss's artwork on the trail, and it's in one of our fave shops so that was nice.

I've also bought some plants for the garden - Lavender which I've been meaning to get for ages, and a red and a yellow pyracantha.

Have you tried sleeping well propped up with pillows?  Sounds as though it may be your position as it's worse at night.  ((hugs)) XX

Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Another tip try putting extra pillows or similar under the head end of the matress or if your other half doesnt object blocks under the bed legs assuming your bed has legs. This means you will sleep slightly more upright which may help.

Thank you both.  I have been raised up at night, but as I usually sleep on my front it doesn't help with the lack of sleeping.  I can't sleep on my back.  However, hopefully I'm turning the corner!

Well I had a much better night last night, hopefully things are on the turn again.  I did have several coughing fits, but they were shorter and interspersed with a good couple of hours in between, so I feel like I've had some sleep and feel more human today.

I'm going to catch up on admin, potter around, chill, and there's a village fayre nearby this afternoon, so I might take the kids along to that for an hour or so.

Have a good day everyone :)
