Well I got my wish and won the lottery last night! £30 which isn't quite as much as I'd hoped, but better than a kick in the teeth!
I didn't change the clock in the kids room last night in the hope of getting a lie in, but they checked the clocks in our room so no chance
I did get some flowers, a book and some chocolate for Mother's day so I've been spoilt and that's my day sortedHowever, I didn't get my true wish which was a tidy kid's bedroom. Apparently they ran out of time
I supposedly have to wait until my birthday (February) or next Mother's day for that one

Have a lovely mother's day. Glad the pain of the glasses was offset by a lottery win. Glasses are so expensive arent they.

You too. They are so expensive. I'm torn between putting the £30 in the mortgage or back in savings. I was so pleased to have built up some savings again this month, but have wiped them out again now.

Congrats on lottery win 🎉
It's not a huge amount . Suppose you could put it in savings ...or just buy something 😼2 -
When I get my glasses I ask for which frames are the cheapest. Limited range but they don't cost as much. I don't drive now and last time only asked for reading glasses as I rarely use my distance pair.3

Woo hoo hoo! My compressed hours have been agreed 😁😁😁 I can start from 4 weeks today. I'm so chuffed!
I also finally put on my big girl pants and phoned BT to cancel my contract. I managed to get a £12 a month discount, which puts it not far off the cheapest I could find elsewhere (not allowing for 1st year discounts). I'm really pleased with that considering I didn't actually want to leave!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Well done on your 4 day week, you will enjoy it, plus a great deal with BT.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.3
