Hey @jwil have just caught up! You’re doing such an amazing job! And Happy Birthday for last week too. I appreciated all of the chat about energy bills going up etc. i really don’t know how people are going to cope, including myself! So it’s good to hear ideas etc.4

Busyness and socialising doesn't suit me, I need time to recharge. Me too, but it sounds like you had a lovely birthday so that's good.
Well done on the sales

I totally hear you on the thing of getting overwhelmed if there's too much "busy social" stuff going on - I'm precisely the same. Love spending time with folks, but I've also learned over the years that I really do have to make sure I build in some solo time as well. And belated happy birthday from here, too!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

It was lovely to catch up with my friend earlier and the kids had a great time too. It was in the middle of nowhere, I'm so glad DH was driving as I'm not sure I would have found it! I'm not a fan of driving on narrow country lanes anyway. Great venue though!
She gave me and little jwil birthday gifts and a cake too, so we have been spoiled.
I pulled out all of the packaging earlier and sorted through and tidied it up. It's all better organised now, and I decluttered some of the boxes packing the parcels we sold as well. It means I've managed to get DH's motorbike gear back in the cupboard rather than it being left on the floor in the front room where it has remained for months! Small things just make a difference to how tidy the house feels.
I read the meters while I had the cupboard empty as well so that's another job done, albeit a little earlier in the month than I normally would have done it.
Little miss has lost a tooth, so the tooth fairy had better remember to attend tonight!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
Glad that you had a good day
