Work has been busy this week, I actually sat down and wrote a list of all my projects and key deadlines. It certainly gave me the fear! But has given me a good idea of where I need to focus next week. It will be nice not having to do the school run, it adds at least an hour to my working day accounting for the time I'm out doing that. I do appreciate being able to do it though, and it saves me money on childcare.
Today was my non working day and the kids had an inset day so we've just been chilling. The kids actually spent some time playing together which is rare these days but lovely to hear. I've been continuing with tidying and trying to clear things.
I've managed to clear enough space to get the dolls house (which I still haven't done anything with!) off the floor and on top of the unit I moved last week. It's cleared a lovely big space in the front room, and I'm very pleased. I also condensed and flat packed all the lego/playmobil packaging, putting the lego in the lego boxes, and filing away the instructions. That was what cleared the space for the dolls house.
I've put up a few halloween decs, and moved some other bits. It's starting to feel more like a home and less like a dumping ground, but still a long way to go.
I've also ordered a new dining table for out the back. Our current one only seats 2 and it's also used for my work desk and is not big enough so I have a load of stuff dumped on a chair next to it. This table seats 4 and so should be plenty wide enough. It will also give us more space for baking/crafts without me worrying my work stuff will get ruined. I should also be able to use a computer chair rather than my bucket chair, which, whilst comfortable, I do wonder if it is partly causing the pain in my legs, or at least not helping. We've been trying to look for a 2nd hand one, but can't find one of a suitable size as it's not a big space, so I got fed up with waiting. I did manage to find a returned one on eBay so have saved some money. It was only £140 so not the end of the world. It should hopefully tidy up the back nicely though!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Any news on the car?The auction ends tomorrow. There's been several bids already and hundreds watching, so fingers crossed he might get a bit more. Just hope it all goes smoothly.

My £200 switch bonus has arrived already! Fantastic, as the switch only completed the other day. That's in time for the electrician so I'm really pleased.
More tidying planned today. I'm just trying to make sure all the sockets are as accessible as they can be ahead of the electrician (and that everything is neat and clean around them!)."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Doing great @jwil and having a proper working space should help massively! Have you any time off this week? Enjoy not having to do the school run 😊2
