It is the consistency of your PADs that amaze meIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Out of my 3 contacts for electricians, one came out and hasn't quoted, so assume they are not interested. One came out exactly when they said they would (actually early) and took time to have a good look, have sent a quote through quickly, slightly more than I'd hoped, but not too far away from what I'd guessed. The third was meant to come today but cancelled at the last minute and now is due to come tomorrow. If they don't turn up, I won't give them another chance. I'm tempted to go with the one that has quoted as so far they've done everything they said, when they said, and they gave good advice, without seeming to be piling on additional work. It's all very stressful!
No reply at all from the plumber 😡
Funding wise, I have set aside the amount quoted for, so we know we've got it regardless. I've also tonight applied to switch our joint account to nationwide to get the £200 shown in the weekly email, and I've also done one of my single accounts to get the £175 from First Direct also in the email. If they come through then that's a good proportion of the bill which can go back to savings.
I've sold an item today, only a small quantity but it all helps."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
Go with the one you have a good vibe from & has done as he said.
