It was nice to have a cooler night last night!
I'm taking the kids to the coast today for a couple of hours, so that will be nice. I'll dose myself up with ibuprofen which eases the cramping a fair bit.

I find probiotics really helpful. I missed taking them for a few days earlier this year and really felt worse for it. I haven't tried peppermint oil capsules (goes off to look at those....)I'm sure the probiotics helped ease it earlier this year, so fingers crossed they will work. I also am taking peppermint oil capsules. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?2 -
have you thought about registering for gamstop? I know it’s a bit of a strange idea, but you can choose a length of time, eg a year, and you can’t register or use any gambling site at all while the block is on. It would definitely stop anyone using your details as no gaming site would allow it. You can still do the lottery, but can’t buy the online scratch cards. I did it because I have less self control that I’d like and it’s a safe thing to do…no one knows you’ve used the service and it doesn’t affect you in any searches. So just a thought, if nothing else is working. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

We had a lovely day out today, as soon as we got to the beach, I could just feel all my cares melt away. My IBS has been much better today, so maybe there's a bit of underlying stress. I just love the feel of the sun and the sound of the sea.
The kids wanted McDs for lunch, so we went and got it, and then went to a NT place to have a picnic. My plan was to make use of the free parking with our membership, but then the kids wanted to go around it, so we used the membership for the entry as well. So I think we've knocked off around £35 of our membership today, and I reckon we are now about halfway to covering the cost. I had the £15 gift card from joining as well, and so we went into the shop. I bought the 50 things to do before you're 11 3/4 book as that will give us something to aim for and should be quite fun. The kids had something each too, so I only spent £5 in the end."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I am now banned from gambling
Let's hope it works. I've done it for 6 months just in case there are any unforeseen issues, but I don't think there will be. If I don't call for it to be removed after 6 months it will carry on for 7 years.
Out of everything I've done this year, I think fixing the mortgage for 10 years has been my biggest achievement. I am so relieved that I don't have to worry about that going up on top of everything else. I still need to smash it down though as technically I'll have 4 years left after the fix, but I want it to end in the 10 years. So it remains my priority."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1
