Wow, such good makes going on. Don't worry @emsi_b. You will get there.
Another four blankets finished last night so 8/52 items. Now to start on resewing a crocheted patch blanket I made for my DD a few years ago. I can't remember why I took it to bits but it will go with her whn she leaves home.
I also deconstucted some scarves so tightly knitted by my SiL they virtually stand op on their own. Will reuse the wool at some point or give it her back.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. Oh, I do love this thread and really enjoy reading the posts and seeing what has been made so far in 2022, it is so inspiring.
I'm sorry but I haven't got started on making anything yet and now I feel as though I will get left behind after seeing all the nice things that have been made so far. The following is a list of my excuses!! In my defence, we have only just recently decorated my craft room and even today I found space in there to stack a few more bits and bobs. Also, in my defence (what again?🤣🤣🤣) we have been doing a lot of cooking and baking for the freezer as the majority of our meals are made from scratch. Also, in my defence (oh dear, not again🤣🤣🤣) I keep hens and have a little duck called Hoppy, bless them, so they keep me busy too. Ok, so hopefully I won't get told off now I have given you all the excuses under the sun 🤣🤣🤣.
On a more serious note, I'll hopefully get my act together soon and at least get started on something. Just clearing the table in my craft room and putting the sewing machine on it will be a start I guess.

Everyone has such great goals for this year!
Made another four items for my shop yesterday and have added to signature.
Plans for today are to make another four.
I have been working on the socks for my OH for valentines day. I am onto the foot of the first socks now, so I should have the pair finished well before the end of the month.November NSD's - 74 -
@edwink I wouldn't worry. It has taken me about 20 years to get to this point, lol.
I agree getting the the sewing machine on the table would be a good start.
I have started with easy wins, quick to do and minimal concentration required. my next thing to do is larger and will take a week.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. What a fun thread - I'll join, but not with a specific budget (sorry to be awkward) - I might be in a position to make some specific household items this year, which would require purchases, and I can't predict that yet.
However, I have a slightly different goal: every month, I want to *finish* something, or turn something leftover into something useful, and also every month, I want to *try* something - a new craft, a new technique, *without* buying more things. I have *cough* two craft cupboards on top of a significant fabric stash and a few boxes, so I definitely have the suppliesDeclutter challenge: List 312 things in 2022: 45/312

I was so excited to have a day with precious metal clay booked that may now have to be moved.I still need to find my pack of precious metal clay that was a gift years ago so this may be a good thing. I used one but don’t think I did it right.I’ve not done anything else from last check in. But I’m glad that people have been busy.Does making dumplings from scratch count? It’s a new skill at least. (I say this like they’re edible and I don’t know yet).

Hi guys, I'm late to the party as usual. I'd like to join the fun again. It's great to see so many new faces and read about all the plans for the coming year.
My final count for last year was167 items sewn (and mended 9 things), 22 items (+ 1 sock) knitted/crocheted and 133 cards made. Some things were big, some things were little and that's the way it will always be, but a finished item is a finished item.
There were lots of things I had planned to make last year that didn't happen. I'll get some of them done, others .....
Between finishing up sewing and card making projects and using it as the storage are for presents and as a wrapping station, by the time Christmas came round, my craft room was a tip and I could not bear to go in! I'm happy to say that now it's all in good order. That won't last long as I am a MESSY crafter. All I've made so far are 5 sympathy cards, 2 I needed and the others I've put away. I keep a box of 'extras' for family to raid (not me as I like to use new ideas for people I'm sending cards to).
So what is planned for the first few months of 2022?
- the other sock (started)
- the dog raincoat (I'm going to have to just bite the bullet on this one and cut it out)
- the 'library' quilt is started but it's going to drive me nuts, so it might not get finished
- masks, lots & lots
- gift bags
- a tapestry started many years ago, using a kit I found in a charity shop; problem is I've done most of the interesting bits and it needs good daylight, although I do have 2 daylight lamps and now a daylight bulb in my craft room ...
- a baby quilt for my DiL's brother's baby, due in March. I will need to buy fabric for this, but I do have wadding and backing already
- a bunch of cards for Chinese New Year, St Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day, anniversary, some birthdays and, of course, the new baby.
Good luck, everyone.

Greentiger I'm glad I'm not the only messy crafter. I try to keep things in order, but it never lasts long. Even worse things spread from my craft room to nearly every other room in the house. I'm still busy making very simple felt things. I will have to cut a new pattern for the lamb I want to make though as . . . the dog ran away with the original pattern. It's not really a problem though as it's easy enough to re-do and the dog was happy with her game.5
