2022 - No Craft Spending - I WILL bust my stash and make pretty things!!!!!

Hopefully here is a pic of the cards I made - variations on a theme but I used several brads and ribbons as well as paper scraps for the stamping

@Wraithlady, I'm not a very experienced knitter, and whilst I can hack sewing patterns to a certain degree, and should logically be able to adjust the fit of a cardi, the bolero I'd been looking at had a curved front edge and all-over pattern, both of which I'd particularly liked, whereas the cardigan pattern I'm using has a lace border and crew neck, so knowing me I'd spend so long worrying over drafting the changes and puzzling over how it all fits together that I wouldn't get started. However, I have had a good think and can't actually work out any good reason why I fancied a bolero in this colour anyway, and had fully intended to make this cardi at some time, so have just gone for it. 

I bet you are a better knitter than me. Its one of the few crafts I have never been able to master.
Well done on starting - I bet this cardi will be finished quicker than you think x

I gave in and bought a big bag of wool from the CS today. It contained exactly the shade that I wanted plus about 40 other small balls. Must have been a collection from the cover of one of those crochet mags. Anyway, it will help in my efforts to use up my stash. I spent £2 of my £25 but I am happy with that.
I hope to finish all 4 blankets by the end of the week as they are not huge.

I think we can certainly forgive you £2 - what a bargain and how lucky it had the exact colour you needed.

Work projects (all sewing and in numerous stages from cutting out, to final press)

I finished three project bags this morning, so totals so far 0/52 and 3/300

A cracking start for you - I have an Etsy shop too but am cheating and including all my makes together - it makes me feel like I have made more and sold ,ore than I actually have

I'm useless with glue too - I get it everywhere I am not supposed to and none where I actually want to stick!!!
I stick to double sided tape now - far less messy!!!

I've managed to make another card ready to give out at some point during the year and 2 x cross in my pocket, 2 x little bags, 2 x angels, 2 x nail planners, a set of business cards and a self care card pack for my business today so that takes me up to 15/2022.
Still no spending either which I'm in shock about - I've surprised myself

I have made no progress on the blankets yet as I have been doing a major declutter in the rooms of doom: craft room and spare room. 

Unfortunately I found another load of blankets to finish plus some unfinished crossstitch. I am going to get all of these done first then move on to new stuff.

I am not actually good at anything except crocheting squares. A jack of all trades and master of none as the say. 

This is partly due to RL interrupting over the last 25 years. Howeever I find that Life is a lot calmer now so I can get on with all the things I have been interested in over the years
