  • Well, I didn't manage this year's target of 12  items from stock (though it was fairly close), but try, try again as they say.

I reckon I will try for 12 again - I shouldn't need a craft budget as I have more than enough stuff, though if I get round to making my own jeans then I will have to buy the denim.

With a little application I can use up the wool stash passed on by a friend! There's a really nice hooded cardigan which would be lovely with the dark variegated wool, and my sister-in-law wants a shawl which should use the rainbow yarn I acquired

Great to have you onboard again Wraithlady and don't worry I have been doing this challenge for about 10 years I think and never once made my target - maybe 2022 can be our year :)

I have far too many crafty projects sat waiting to be started...and even more half finished. 2022 is going to be my year of using up what I already have before I buy more.

I would love to join in this year too, please.

I love doing craft, sewing, and arty things but am having trouble getting started at the moment.  I have a huge stash of material as I find it so hard to throw even the smallest pieces out because I like to keep them, just in case 😁 I have more than a few items of clothing I would like to alter so they fit me better so hopefully I'll get started on those soon too. I did make my Christmas Cards this year from my stash so was very pleased about that as I didn't need to buy any.

I would like to set myself a budget of £50 for the year to buy anything I need but hopefully, most of the items will come from my stash. I would like to make 25 things.  I have one ongoing project that I started in 2019 so I would really, really like to get that finished this year.

Hopefully, this thread will keep me motivated and on track.

    Happy New Year everyone.

I’d like to join please. I’d like to try to make 50 things, so that it works out roughly an item a week. It would be nice to be able to make a decent number of handmade presents in time for next Christmas but with kids, caring responsibilities for my parent and a part time job, it needs to be manageable. Hopefully this group will motivate me to use up some of the craft stash plus save money next Christmas!
Hi DiscountDuck, its great to have you onboard.
I really hoper this thread will help to motivate you as I know it has helped me so much in the past.
Its hard when you have so many things to juggle (I am in a similar position to you) so fingers crossed you manage to find time to be crafty and I cannot wait to hear all about your christmas present makes.
    Good luck x

  • I would like to join too please. I am so glad I found this thread - I have so much stuff. I will use the £30 craft supply gift voucher I was given for Christmas if I need a small item to finish an article I'm working on. Other than that I'm determined to make 2022 a no spending on crafts year.
