59/ 250
I’ve done some more of the English paper piecing.I haven’t yet managed the lampshade kit I still don’t know what design I want to do. This weekend I will be trying to do some pointing. And painting a picture frame to use up some little picture card things. (Came with a wire wall thingy). Small projects - but they’re an achievable target. Not spent any more so still £22.87 / 250. Only adding to keep track.I’m glad everyone has been busy and carrying on with the work. And it’s nice to see people joining in.@irida - what are the stones they’re really pretty.

I had a minor crafting success this weekend. I needed some white wool to finish off a project, but the only wool I had wasn't double knit and was very thin. I halved the ball and used two strands to complete my project. So no spending and something used up.GC Feb 25 - £225.54/£250 Mar £218.63/£2404

Another 3 project done today really enjoyed making these for my DS's friends at playgroup, and Another one started not sure when I will be able to finish it

Those are very cute Deb4!I have to admit, I have bought some wool.
In my defence, I have nearly finished a shawl for a friend’s 60th and needed a bit more. (And then needed free postage…
)
Because I’ve been trying to push on with this shawl, I haven’t done much to use up items from my stash. I did make one hat, which nearly used up a stray bawl of yarn. Planning to do some fingerless mitts to finish that off! Hopefully the wool will arrive in the next day or two and I can finish the shawl off, and move back on to using up my stash!6 -
craftingmad said:So after my failure in previous years, 2022 is most definitely the year I am going to try really hard to bust my stash!!!!
I have no choice as I have nowhere left to store craft goodies in my house. Its overflowing and annoying my poor suffering husband and son.
So have put myself on a self imposed craft spending ban during 2022.
As a total ban has not worked well for me in the past I have decided to set a budget of £300 for the year for me to treat myself to new supplies. I am not going to include in my budget buying adhesives or supplies for orders (for items which I already make - I have my own business on Etsy) as long as I have nothing left in my stash which I can use and I am allowing crafty storage as extra if really required and I don't have something already that can do the job as I figure being organised will help me see the stash I already have.
Other than that I hope to use only things from my stash and not get tempted by the new shiny objects which keep being released.
As I have failed miserably at my previous targets I may have to set the bar a little lower but always optimistic I am am going to start my target at 2022
This will be a mixture of cards, scrapbook pages, project Life (I will class each page or handmade filler card as one item), handmade items - in fact a real mixture of things as I'm sure I have all the supplies I need to make pretty much everything I can think of!
Would anybody care to join me?
The rules are simple - there are no hard and fast rules apart from what you want them to be. The aim is to use our crafty stash and stay within our crafty budget but of course if you do weaken and grow your stash just come in and confess your sins and you will be forgiven
You can set your own target of how many items you would like to make using your stash or just a certain amount of time you want to not buy for. Whatever works for you is ok with mecraft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

DiscountDuck said:I’d like to join please. I’d like to try to make 50 things, so that it works out roughly an item a week. It would be nice to be able to make a decent number of handmade presents in time for next Christmas but with kids, caring responsibilities for my parent and a part time job, it needs to be manageable. Hopefully this group will motivate me to use up some of the craft stash plus save money next Christmas!craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

My budget is going to be zilch, except for glue and the occasional 1kg paper clay once a year!3

I made this for my daughter from a battered whelk shell. Paper clay toadstools.

That looks amazing. (I say after googling paper clay and wondering if I need to try it). 🤣🤣
