I did far more than I intended yesterday and it took a lot longer thann I'd hoped, but all the washing has been tumbled and is airing, the turkey was stripped, the stairs were vacuumed and the most urgent paperwork was completed. The rest can wait until tomorrow, including the kitchen floor. Today will be for pottering and writing thank you cards.I'm in two minds about this but feel compelled to just the same. I was listening to Radio 4 while I was cooking last Monday and this play came on. I've been listening to plays for decades but none has ever affected me the way this one did. I've found myself very moved this year by all the volunteers involved in the vaccine roll out, and wanted to share this play as a tribute to everyone who has volunteered, with my gratitude.Better is good enough.9

Morning all
Up, showered, hair washed / dried / straightened. Result.Wm x 1 run and squeeeeeezed onto the inside line as yesterday’s towels are still trying to dry. It is so windy that if I hang them outside, they will end up on Kaz’s doorstep. Clean washing shuffled.
Had a nice couple of hours with DSis and DBiL yesterday. Today is the family Xmas dinner now that various members are out of their lurgy isolations, and we are missing it (through choice, too many people around the table, DD to think of). DSiL has cancelled her visit to us, as they will have spent a couple of days with DBiL’s family (too many people around the table…etc etc). Consequently we have a fridge of things that I don’t usually buy (cream etc), so some creative meal planning will happen today.
Nothing much planned for today, apart from cajoling DH, who still hasn’t submitted his tax return. It will go today 😡. DD is starting to climb the walls, being stuck here with aged Ps, so we might take her car for a spin, just to see outside of our four walls.
Thank you, Round - will add Update 2022 Calendar to my list.
Have a lovely day all xx10 -

YORKSHIRELASS said:He just has to show that he had a negative LFT within 24 hours of going (how they know that the test is his or when he took it is another matter!).
You don't even need to do the test just register the number from a test, they don't want a picture of it or anything at all and you can get a government issued 'pass' I did it for the panto last week. the ridiculous thing is if you have had the plague the lft shows negative usually a few days before you stop being contagious, there is a chart on the nhs/gov website which shows the efficacy period of the pcr and lft. I found it when checking when my sister and dil would have become contagious since they started with symptoms on 23rd (+ve LFT on 24th, not doing a pcr) and 24th (+ve LFT on 26th gone for pcr today, right now in fact) after we had been at panto on 22nd.. so they didn't give it to one another it was just coincidence they both caught it at the same time. DS1 had it first but refuses to have a test, my sister who he had not seen started next then the DIL and then Fabian late on 26th.. Fabian is the least unwell and all 3 of the others had been jabbed... its clearly so effective..
A Dr has set a precedent anyway winning a court case and been reinstated in his job without having had the jabs opening the doors for NHS workers and care home staff to have autonomy over their own bodies again.. good news for human rights movement!
Anyway.. Lots of DW runs today.. many cuppas and see if I can find any bins with room in so I can empty the house bins. We definitely need a tip run this week. I need to source some LFT's so we can go visit OH's family. I think they are stupid but I wouldn't want to pass anything to his mother inadvertantly because I'm not a monster lol. I wouldn't go if I had any sign of any illness.
Cuppa... wait for OH to get back (he has taken dil for her pcr work are demanding she does)

Good evening 🙂
Fayolle I am another one guilty of putting off my tax return 🙄 I have been working on my accounts today, and I am nearly there! Every year I tell myself I will keep up to date....🤦♀️
Presents for bro & his family are wrapped & in a bag for DH to drop to my mums after work tomorrow (assuming he lft is -ve) DS is back to work as well tomorrow so I will write myself a list & crack on. I can't go anywhere, so I may as well keep busy. I feel fine, so there is no excuse!
Flying today consisted of stripping the bed, washing bedding & remaking the bed, as well as admin.
Night night all!11 -
I have just looked at tomorrow's list and it seems I am ahead of the game! 🤣11
