Getting FIREd up 😀

I'm pretty sure there is a "noodle pot" recipe in my HFW River Cottage Veg book, but the appeal of the pot noodle was that it didn't need any cooking (and, as SSS says, there's something a bit naughty about it because it's not real food 🤣!) On balance, it's no doubt a good thing, just never thought inflation would be a bigger deterrent than health 😳!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

One of the funds in my ISA is in the positive!!!
I'm still down overall (one of the other funds is 100% in UK gilts 🤣🤣🤣), but it's so long since I've seen anything in the green that it's definitely worth celebrating!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

So, this week's money-saving/making actions were:
* £10.00 received from Shop & Scan
* £5.00 received from Shoppix
* £6.34 received from Prolific
* £5.00 received from Huyu
* £50.00 received from Y-Live 🥳🥳🥳
* £3.80 won on the horses (£10.00 in bets placed overall to get me there, but at least they weren't a dead loss 🤣!) It's also tickled me that I have more control over my returns when gambling than when investing into the stock market, as at least when gambling I can study the form and it is free from Govt intervention 🤣
* Used my Shop & Scan voucher, plus a refund, to buy a new blender from Argos for the net cost of a princely 1p 😀 Add to that the 50p pending cashback from ZipZero, the 42p pending from TopCashBack and I think there are some Nectar points to come, and I am up on the deal!
A bumper week!!!
This week's instalment of ridiculousness (other than the suggestion that cider may contribute to your 5 a day 🤦♀️):
I have sold a book I haven't read yet. I was so fed up with coming up just short of the minimum threshold, plus I thought it would give me the impetus to actually read the book, so I'm just about to get going on a crazy reading challenge to finish it before We Buy Books start clamouring for me to send the parcel (usually about 7 days). Currently on page 29 of 256 🤞🤞🤞Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
