Ha, no! It pinged as an alert on my "show me everything within 1/4 mile of my house" search. I live in a slightly eclectic area, most expensive on said search is currently £1,200,000 in the next street to mine, the cheapest is £52,000 four streets away. SC Towers is definitely towards the lower end of that spectrum, value in today's market and after the refurb maybe £95,000 🤷♀️?

In other news, I'm loving my new budget spreadsheet, though sadly it doesn't stop me feeling completely skint 🙄

I spoke to an "accidental FIRE" person the other day. He had a paid off flat (39) and was planning on selling flat in favour of a family home, paying that off by 50 and then retiring to Vietnam. I was almost offended he'd never read a personal finance blog in his life!

When everyone is working so hard and some people just trip over and fall into it. I mean good for him, but also why did I have to go to the effort of making mistakes and learning it all?? 🤣

@Merlin's_Beard - I share your sentiments exactly! Luckily this specific case can be filed under "couldn't happen to a nicer guy". He's an enthusiastic and friendly sort who reminds me of my late FIL
