I really miss my dishwasher. Hopefully the plumber will be here tomorrow and I can find out whether I have one that works. If not, I should at least have the plumbing available so I can get another one!

Ladies, you definitely need dishwashers in your house! It took a lot of head-scratching to get mine in, but it was so worth it 😀

SC's initial reaction to the Budget (just call me Robert Peston 😅):

    • 44% tax on savings interest above the PSA from April 😱
    • Almost certainly made moot by the cancellation of the reduction of the cash ISA allowance 🎉
    • Fuel duty frozen 👍
    • Alcohol duty increased 🙄
    • £100 payment to Band A-D council tax payers to offset rising utility costs 🤔 This feels like a bit of a blunt instrument - just because I have a small/inexpensive home doesn't mean I need extra help
    • Most importantly no fiddling with pensions, so we're full steam ahead for the increase in contributions from April 🍾

    How was it for you?

We didn't even get the fun of the whole thing being leaked in advance this time 🤷‍♀️

I missed the bit about alcohol duty - will have to look at that 😔 How does that help hospitality?!

Agree re £100 - with it costing us less than £60/month to heat and power our home and run our car, we definitely don’t need this. Think it’ll be donated to an energy poverty charity. (Yes, we’ve spent out the capital to gethere, but because we could afford it and wanted to reduce our bills…)

I would probably be banned if I gave my thoughts.

We don't benefit from the £100.
