I'll do a month end summary this month, but we have been hit badly as well. Mrs E more than doubled her pension contributions two months ago and still her pension has only just managed to hold it's value from April

About 4 times yesterday afternoon I stopped myself from picking up the phone to a colleague and moaning about emails I'd just received. The phone was in my hand on more than one of those occasions! I'm taking that as a win for Team Ducks 🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆!

Spotted petrol in BF's village at 183.9p this morning, so squeezed £33 in on my way home. Came back via Sainsbury's (2 miles away) and theirs is up to 188.9p, so I'm glad I made the effort!

Wow, that's super cheap! Ours was still at 199.9 yesterday- they've been at that for over a week now, clearly don't want to be the first to go over 200...

On a genuine note, isn't moaning about work one of the more agreeable parts of work? Without it, I'm pretty sure I would enjoy work a lot less. But also, sometimes I'm just wrong - usually I just can't read and my colleagues let me know and then I don't embarrass myself.

We have a colleague like that 😀! 

Moaning about work is OK-ish outside of work, but the trouble with doing it at work is that you never get to the end of it, there is always something more to moan about/someone else that will chip in, and before you know it it's been half an hour and none of you have done any work 😳 I'm sure turning the other cheek has to be better for my career prospects!

Totally agree with you.  When I work at home I rarely interact with my colleagues because I don't sit in a team and work on my own stuff.  Which means I get a shock when I'm in the office and have to listen to all the members of one team moan about their manager - not kidding it was over an hour last week and eventually I chimed in to ask them what they were going to do about all their gripes and grievances.  They couldn't answer so I gave them some advice as a senior manager to be a bit more "solutions focused" to their moaning from now on 😂
