In M&S food hall this week I saw mince pies, Christmas cake, tins of shortbread, Christmas chocolate....

They were next to the Halloween offerings.

    Ditching the gilts update:

    • Sold on 1 February for £941.14 and bought the same amount of Lifestrategy Global 80/20
    • On 28 May added £740.65 of invested interest I earned on the old Moneybox cash ISA
    • Sold on 29 August for £1761.39 and bought the same amount of VALL (following a talking-to by julicorn 😅)
    • So far up by £28.78

So, net of the Moneybox cash added, what I sold in Feb for £941 is now at £1049, so not quite back to the £1102 that I originally put into the gilts, but I'm happy that we're now going in the correct trajectory. The S&S is now 100% in equities (was already about 98% TBF), and if the LISA transfer ever completes that will be too, so we're full steam ahead, baby!

Also making a bit of a move to VALL, realised that DB pensions are probably worth £190k-£250k already (depending on when I take them), so probably don't need to be holding as many bonds as I am in my SIPP and ISA. As I said on my thread, this almost definitely guarantees a market crash, so get your cash ready to buy 😁
