and thanks for the tip about the Pringles lids @princesskitty29 - we don’t have them often, but will definitely save them when we do now!Well I’ve got a large bag of stuff sorted ready to list on eBay , real mix of things from the decluttering so far. Just need to stop procrastinating and get on and do it. We’ve had to order a new sofa, as ours has completely had it , so any money I make will go towards payments for that. I just need a rocket up my bum to make me do it !!! Any encouragement / suggestions on ways to make me bite the bullet and do it would be gratefully received!! 🙄🙏
So today am going to try 'just do something'.......

Its hard when family are ill and close. Even harder when far away @princesskitty29. Big hugs.
Welcome @mmm_wine. I am with you on how you got some of your hoard. I have just put all my sales items in one place, there are about 50 moderately sized boxes. I am working though and thinking what I really want to sell, can make any money on. I hate clothes selling so not much of that. I am setting aside a few hours a week routinely for listing and the pile is going down a bit.
Also a reminder that you have HAD to sit anyway @vulpix as you have been poorly so good use of time. Poor finger though.
Rest up BBB. Self care is is the first thing to take care offIf it is your mood that is a problem just do one thing.
Sooo popping by to catch up. Books 3/52 read and going to the CS.
I was given some items for the CS in the week. Someone gave me a set of glasses which are the same as mine. I replace a few of mine and the other 6 in the cs bag along with a vase, some clothes and the book I just finished. Not counting the bag yet until I have actually got it to the cs.
A frog sorted yesterday.
Several plants given away yesterday; counting as one bag
YesterdayI cleared through a load of folders to do with work. Most of it going to the confidential waste bag and some to the recycling. Two big bags of paper waiting for the scouts collection now and the confidential waste bag. Not counting these yet as not out the house.
Generally pleased with progress.

Afternoon all.
I have decluttered the laundry basket and kitchen and bathroom bins, tipped some citric acid granules in the toilet bowl as a bit of limescale had appeared, now gone, and scrubbed my highly impractical white kitchen sink with oxygen bleach powder. So decluttering of grime rather than stuff. I have sorted the first aid/medicines box, a few out of date items flung. I need to do my online food shop so will have a fridge/freezer/food cupboard tidy first, shouldn't be much to fling as I do rotate/use stuff reasonably well because I don't like food waste. Will do that now as I am avoiding cleaning the rest of the bathroom.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks.
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedSaturday is a dull, overcast day with a chilly breeze ☹️ I have done the last task from Friday - went through fridge & bagged & froze food that will not be used in menu plan - incl lo HB Somerset Chicken from last night 🙂 DSis has just had a bath & we are now watching A Quiet Place 2 - seems to be more music than the first one ☹️ Not sure what 5 tasks I will do today 😉 So whilst I am pondering I will cheerlead 😉What a good idea weenancyinAmerica 👏Sorry to hear you have tested +ve Thrifty_Taylor ☹️ but as you say being confined to barracks is the perfect opportunity to declutter 😉😉 Well done on what you have done so far 👏 which as you are now 101/365 has earned you a Gold Star ⭐️Floss you have far more important things to do & think about 🙂 As long as you aren’t letting any potential clutter into your home 😉
What a result princesskitty29 - items out, items returned & already prepping for Christmas 2022 👏 (just in case we have another Lockdown - only joking 🙃)Baxtersmum, what great ideas for using old damaged books 👏 Papier-mâché might be another idea 😉
Lovely post TC77 👏 I still have my wedding album in the loft but only to remind me that I was once ‘not fat’ & looked gorgeous 😉 Shame the financial side isn’t yet sorted 😠 but you will know when you are strong enough to deal with it 🙂
Ouch vulpix but well done on eating that particular frog (they weigh nothing 😉) Everything crossed 🤞 that you get the quilt finished 🤞
donna73, perhaps set a timer for an hour - take photos & then list. When the timer goes off if you are on a roll set again for 30 minutes. Then stop ✋ do something/anything else that you enjoy. If you can do this every couple of days you hopefully won’t find it too onerous 🤞 Just start 😉 remember you have a new sofa to pay for 😉😉
Sorry that life is not treating you well, balabooberlies 😞 but very well done on deciding to ‘just do something’ - it all helps 👏 I am offering restorative hugs 🙂
Lovely supportive post bit_by_bit 😊 hopefully your way of working on selling items might just work for donna73 🤞Well done on dealing with a frog & bagging up so much 👏Excellent work Guineapigsqueaks 👏 Decluttering grime is just as important as decluttering stuff 🙂 I do miss the Love Food, Hate Waste thread but the last entry was October 2021 - there was lots of useful information 👏MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟

Hello all, haven't done much decluttering this last week and I've only just managed to keep the daily detritus at bay. My heart isn't in it at present and my head is all over the place, butterfly brain again. I did almost empty the ironing basket though but only because I was running out of tidy clothes (usually in joggers), however some other items can wait a bit longer to be done. I hate ironing 🤢. I went through my medication cupboard and sorted it as some messy elf has been in there and jumbled everything 🙄. Some empty boxes have been recycled. Hopefully DH's meds cupboard will be done at some time this week although he seems to keep his fairly orderly.
Today I decluttered my scan appointment, only took a few minutes to do but an hour either way to get to the hospital. Seems the new local hospital 10mins away does not do routine stuff as that would have been ideal for us. Now I have another emergency appointment at the dentist on Monday to contend with ( ongoing problems ) Seems appointments are never ending at the moment, old age doesn't come on it's own I suppose.
Decluttered more £'s to the builders yesterday 🙁 and now DH has asked him to do more work at some time. I don't know when that will start and I don't mind when, warm summer days would be nice, as long as I can get rid of all the mud and cement everyone keeps traipsing into the hall. Good job everyone takes their shoes off in there but my front doormat will probably have to be binned ! My poor front garden looks like a quagmire too, think the grass has given up the ghost 😞
MrsSD I watched Save the Cinema too, wasn't very impressed with some of the acting, I'm sure I don't sound like that ? IMO some actors tried too hard and I thought it came across as false. Perhaps I'm biased ? Hope you DH and SiS are ok.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones and those struggling .

Afternoon MrsSD and fellow declutterers, just checking in really. Have done bits of decluttering since my last message. Cleared the detritus in our daughter's bedroom last Sunday. Managed to do some electronic decluttering as well with emails and slimming down my inbox. It's been a tough week, my wife tested positive for COVID just over a week ago. Thankfully she is clear now and today was her first day of being able to get out and about. I have come to realise that when I have things on my mind and feel as though I'm getting angry, I tend to declutter and clean to release pressure and take my mind off things. I'll probably be decluttering some admin tomorrow and bills / letters, plenty on my plate at the moment. Cheers 🙂10

Thank you Mrs S.D.
love hugs
Have been staring at nets in sitting room since I came back from dad's funeral. Was going to wash them when I had energy to clean windows but today I decided that the windows can wait but the nets cannot. So they have been washed. Will hang them tomorrow.
Have been 'like with liking'.....a little bit. Better than the nothing that has led up to today.
Am seeing some of my family tomorrow. Hopefully it will shake this mood away.
