Just been reading and Mrs SD you've reminded me I'm meant to be doing tax... I did remember yesteday but this evening started to look out glassware as fleabay has cheap listing.
@vulpix I know you got rid of alot of glassware. I can't decide whether to get rid of a particular colour .or just shapes I'm less keen on and then left with more mishmash of colours....
have sets of red and of green glasses for xmas entertaining, but also green dessert/sundae dishes (happy to let these go)
Pink jug, and off pink glasses, and other pink sundae dishes, and occasional bowls
yellow small glasses (like idea of using for wine), and yellow sundae bowls (not so keen but good size and no stem so easier to go in dish washer) and go with my sofa (though probably wouldn't use with the sofa
Grey smoked glasses (quite like and size)
Blue sundae glasses (got rid of jug and glasses previously) tried to sell and no-one wants
Clear fruit engraved large sundae style glasses )x 8)
Clear (but not see through) 60s glasses I quite like , 8 large, and several small and 10 sundae dishes
Other different coloured sundae dishes from my grandparents so poss deco
other clear glases, cute ones, big ones, tall milk shake ones
Gosh, I clearly am a collector!
This doesn't include plates/cups and saucers (head in hands emoji if I knew where it was)
I promise I did sell/give away quite alot last year.
Frogs// dad's consultant, delayed my wisdom tooth out as couldn't cope with that and earache , and arranged for heating engineer to come round on Monday, chased DD1 TV delivery, every day for a week promised next day and waiting for time slot, never arrived, even with my daily chasing (losing my touch).
Lots of tidying before work and a few things out. Lots of email over hassle things so counting as 120
Just noticed another 8 large glasses for everyday......Need to get my act together as I'm not travelling light14 -
You'd be welcome MrsSD - I do love a good bondfire (as my MIL says)!
Two clutch bags and a swimming costume I've only tried on into the box to go off to my friend tomorrow. Half a dozen more DVD boxes off to the bin.13 -

I think everybody's had times when a bag gets used as a swift tidy up and the contents aren't dealt with
I think looking at everything in the unit, my room and the conservatory I do it at least once a month for the last 20 years 🙈😱
Looked in box number 3 today, 82 children's books! I've kept a couple of the children's favourites ready for GD1 but I have no idea what to do with the other 68! They really aren't any good, some probably 30-40years old but throwing books in the bin just feels wrong, even with ripped pages and covered in scribbles. Not adding them until they are out of the house.
Box 4 to tackle tomorrow
Did drawer 1 of dd2s. All her underware, now nice and neat in little organisers and just 3 pairs of socks to the bin.
I have had a couple of deliveries last few days bit instead of putting the boxes in the conservatory for address removal and forgetting, I've done them straight away and straight into recycle bin.
162 100 emails
163 100 emails
164-167 delivery packaging recycled
168-170 socks, too small

Evening all,
A. Couple of small wins and a big win in the house of Finstickle this week. The big win was making it to the charity shop with my donation bags 😁😁
46 - pink activity chair (word of warning, don't move chair to the porch ready for pickup when you go out - DH will inevitably spend 10 minutes looking everywhere else in the house for. It 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️)
47 - carton of oat milk. In the cupboard since god knows when, gone off
CS donations
48-49 - 2 kids vooks
50-51 - 2 kids toys
52 - kids. Puzzles
53 - dog toy (unused Christmas gift, my boy likes soft Teddy type rather than hard rope ones so these are always given away of received)
54 - set of chopping boards kept since last Christmas as a. Present from D MIL, but I really had no use and hadn't used in a year as already had the ones I like
55-56 - 2 hats from porch declutter
57 - scarf from porch declutter
58 - bib which DD has outgrown
A successful week I feel, especially as I even finished writing Christmas thank you cards tonight and these will get posted in the morning

I had set out some of my glasses on dining room table and asked DD2 what she thought/like. 'They're abit ugly' was the response and then said she didn't like the colour - mainly pink and yellow (amber is more appealing description). Clearly won't be able to palm any on her when she leaves home so think will try and sell (finding just cos I like others may not
) or more likely donate.
So much going on, so must do my bit . Take care everyone x13 -
Caught up...
Hugs to @princesskittyso sorry to hear about your dad.
@mmm_wine welcome, lots of ideas here, I'm abit random but anything out is a win. And like with like for things kept is also a win and something I'm working on.10 -

@mmm_wine in regard to the paperwork, we’ve got some much to sort through and have tried burning it in the past but there is just too much, not all of it burns to ash and we don’t have anywhere to put the ashes.
We’ve started using a company that sends you bags and the collects it when you are ready. It is tracked on its journey back to them (to prevent any identity theft) and then all goes in a big machine, bag and all. You don’t have to remove any of the clips or bindings, it all gets mulched together. Apparently it’s okay up to A4 hardback size. It isn’t the most cost effective way of doing it but it’s getting it done without having to find extra time to do it and forgetting and coming across the bags to deal with at some point in the future and then having to deal with more clutter!
Only half a bag done this week, all gone through our local freebies site, a children’s puzzle, a new doorbell in its box, some children’s toothpaste and some toddler snacks that apparently DS3 is now too old to eat !
Bitey bitey cat has continued to assist in the decluttering campaign by eating yesterday’s post and a parcel bag from Amazon today that contained a birthday present for DS2’s friends party tomorrow, she got the corner of the box too but I managed to get it on top of the fridge before further damage ensued 🤦♀️
My total is now 22 bags/52 bags
Stay safe everyone xxx

TC77,that is a lot of glassware. It sounds like a lot of sundae glasses too. How many people would you be giving a sundae to at any one time? Perhaps that might be an easy win to just keep one set.. .
I decided that the Christmas glasses could go as they took up more room to store them than warranted for their annual use. I kept 6 wine glasses,8 tall tumblers and 8 short tumblers. Plus random glasses that we used to find on the garden wall .when we lived near a pub. We use those everyday for water.
I also kept one glass dish and matching bowls, a cut glass dish that was my Grandmas 21st gift and a cut glass jug.I sold some on FB and masses at a car boot sale. Didn't get much for them but was pleased to send them to a new home.

Thanks Mrs SD and daisy_1571. Think I'm going to put any that are okay out on the front when it's nice (we're on a main road to the school) and if they don't go I'm leaving it to DH to sort so I don't feel bad 🤣 they've done well though as we were given a lot of them when dd1 was born almost 21 years ago, from someone whose children were now adults themselves and didn't want them.
Today I have sorted 2 more drawers of dd2, pjs and school clothes. Just a pair of pjs out. The other drawers won't be so easy.
Box 4 is sorted too! A pack of kids bobbles in to charity. Some air purifier filters put in utility room. A small box of kids cards/certificates etc put to one side. A bag of rubbish to the bin and 22 inches high of paperwork from 2013-2016! Still not counting any of it until it leaves the house but I know exactly what is in each box now.
