1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV during daylight hours 😉 AB2 playing zero - 20/9/2022
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedMonday - Boxing Day was quite a bit colder than Sunday, but also dry & bright. I did feel better but it was DSis’s turn to feel ill 🤒 Although we had cancelled our pick up, DH had promised to visit his family for a few hours so left about 2:00 p.m. (on the motorbike) eventually getting home just before 9:00 p.m. - having had a late lunch & seen his sister’s side of the family. Fortunately everyone was well & had enjoyed their Christmas Day. Meanwhile I finished knitting scarf number 5 & started on a beanie. I also rearranged the contents of the bedroom wall unit - now very much easier to access spare bedding (rather than grovelling about on the floor using the lower cubbyholes 😉) - a tadpole dealt with before it became a frog 🙂 The rest of the day was spent watching TV mostly old episodes of Death in Paradise. Also watched this year’s Christmas special which was a bit disappointing (I still haven’t warmed to Ralf Little 😔) Although I will watch the new series 😉 Dinner was bubble & squeak - my favourite meal of each & every year 😊 Wudupa. I am currently trying to get into the habit of going to bed before dawn so was in bed at 3:00 a.m. & asleep within 15 minutes 🥳 One bathroom visit & up at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday aka official Christmas Bank Holiday 🤔 - currently overcast & chilly. Not sure what today’s plan of action is but may, just may involve going through my wardrobe hanging space 😉

roundtuit, pleased to hear you had a lovely day especially as you have gained floor space 👏 Perhaps I should make the following a mantra “I do like having floor.....and the more there is the more I want. Very incentivising is floor!” 😉 This could equally apply to cupboards, drawers & even shelving 🤔 Great decluttering 👏 I can confirm that you are definitely signed up for the 2023 Decluttering Thread 🙂
Hope you had a relaxing Boxing Day bit_by_bit & that everyone was considerate & turned up between 2 & 6 as requested 😉
Wednesday2000, sounds like a perfectly lovely Christmas Day 😊 Excellent decluttering & love that you are on a mission 👏weenancy, so glad that you ended up having such a good Christmas Afternoon - the first penny worked 😊 Very pleased to hear that the freeway was traffic free - presumably with the temperature being 85F everyone else spent Christmas Day on the beach 😉 At least your sister made her house very Christmassy 👏 Sorry to hear that cataract surgery is imminent - please, please remember to follow doctors instructions to the letter post surgery 🙏 🙏 Such excellent decluttering, especially on Christmas Day, merits a Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way 👏 I am also pleased to hear that you have a full fridge & freezer - saves both money & time 😊SecondStar, no such thing as a silly question on this thread 😉 I hope that your question about “frogs” has been satisfactorily answered 😉 From my point of view it is any task that has not been dealt with promptly 😔
Thanks to short_bird & TC77 for their great explanations about the meaning of frogs 👏Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏Sorry to hear that your Christmas was rather spoiled by the lurgy, wort 🙁 Rather a lot of it going around & you have had quite a severe dose 😔 Fingers crossed that you are fighting fit by NYE & can go into 2023 lurgy free 🤞Lovely to see you sumb7170 👋 No need to apologise for not posting - RL has a habit of getting in the way not helped by contracting Covid 🙁. Firstly well done on dealing with the huge frog of gathering competence evidence - one Gold Star ⭐️ on its way 👏 I can confirm that you have a reservation on the 2023 EDT 🙂 I am now enjoying reading about your 2022 progress…….. So here goes with your awards for the year: 3,800/5,000 equates to Three Gold Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ; 29/52 books read is a medal 🏅; 66/52 mending is a Gold Star ⭐️ ; your partial successes re one in, one out + mending/secondhand + cleaning products have earned you a medal for each 🏅🏅🏅; the toiletries success = a Gold Star ⭐️ ; the lack of success re ornaments I am putting down to lack of time 😉 & finally the fact that you stayed the same weight for a whole year is worthy of a medal 🏅 (I put on 1.6kg - that is a failure 😔) I have to disagree with your summing up of 2022 - from my POV you have had a very successful year which will stand you in good stead for 2023 👏 I would also like to thank you for my medal which I have added to my collection 😊
vulpix, fingers crossed that you can start 2023 minus both the earache & the sore throat 🤞I really hope you are joking about the Easter Chocolate 😱 surely it should just be Pancake Day 😉 & then empty shelves to account for Lent 😂 What a great use of your ‘Home Alone Day’ 👏 Planning for your 2023 Decluttering Challenge 👏 I am so enamoured of the idea of Frog Tickling 😁 that I would really like your permission to use that as one of my 2023 Mantras 🙏
EnergyShifter, your Christmas & Boxing Day activities were just the ticket to set you up for a Decluttering & Reorganising Session 👏😊 What a beautiful present - a cashmere hoodie 😊 You have definitely earned an afternoon on the Sofa + a quick visit to the TLC Carriage 😉
Hello thriftyscotslass, lovely to make your acquaintance 👋 I am especially pleased that you appear to share my attitude to the Christmas Period & I quote “ …., I am just enjoying the feeling of having successfully decluttered Xmas Eve, Xmas Day & Boxing Day - such a relief” Your seat on the 2023 EDT is reserved & I look forward to learning a bit more about you & your decluttering goals 😉 You will learn that I am the ‘curious cat’ of the thread 😂Currently I am watching the last episode of my Icelandic series Black Sands - I love listening to the Icelandic language being spoken - so much so that I have to keep rewinding to read the subtitles 🤣MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 🥇🥇🥇 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🏆

I added 4 of my handbags too
Halloween decorations that I thought I had already decluttered
Sorry some of you are feeling ill. I caught Covid back in March when I went out for my birthday in London, but haven't even had so much as a cold since then.
Red chazzer jumper I bought "decluttered" to my husband's wardrobe as I realised it is a man's jumper when I tried it on! I am looking to use up my beauty products too. I realised I have 9 of them, moisturisers, retinol products, night cream and serums so I would like to streamline them. I am going to try out one a week to test them to see which one I think is the best.
I wondered what frogs meant too so I'm glad somebody asked that question!2025 GOALS

I was so surprised that I took a photo Mrs SD.
I am considering frog tickling akin to trout tickling. With frogs it’s preparing it to be caught and then eaten possibly later.Vx:14 -
@vulpix I saw Mini Eggs on sale in my corner shop on Christmas Eve 😕
I'm another who's been ill - family due to visit on Christmas day were cancelled & dinner for 3 was cooked by DS1 & DDiL as I had a nasty throat & cold and now have a hacking cough & sinusitis.
Am seriously tempted to take down the tree, but can't summon up the energy.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I consider myself to be on holiday at the moment (I’m not at work and the kids are at home) and so no decluttering expected until the new year unless I come across anything or suddenly have an urge to declutter. I’m sure I’ll need to hit the kids toys again soon now it’s past xmas and both kids have birthdays in the first 3 months of the year.
I expect a bunch of new things will be coming my way as lots of people are now decluttering locally, so I’m keeping a close eye on the local buy nothing group. Picking up a bunch of books and a toy later tonight already! Should save me a fortune and I combine with ys trips as I always drive past the local shop. All helps as next year will have a big hit to income as both myself and DH are looking to go part time to spend more time with the kids whilst they are young and get back some sort of work life balance. With that and inflation, we’ll need to cut back.

Hi all. Its been a good few days but back to DS2 and I now. House returned to some semblance of order and dishwasher is praying this will be the last load.
I walked to church on Christmas Eve and DS2 returned home at 1am just after I got back. We had a quiet Christmas day with very nice steak lunch whilst he did loads of cooking. I picked up his two youngest at 5 and then DD and family arrived about 8pm. DS1 and family arrived late morning Boxing Day along with DS2's other 2 so we had the complete family for a leisurely Christmas/Boxing Day dinner at 2pm. Managed to get a lovely picture of the 8 grandchildren together in my kitchen. Late DH used to take at least one group picture a year if they would cooperate. DS1 stayed at hotel nearby so I stayed off the drink so I could take them back later. Last of family left teatime today. Everybody seemed pleased with gifts. I had garden centre and M&S vouchers, chocolates, jigsaw, Swarovski Christmas ornament and an A***a gadget for car (I liked the one my daughter had).
I need to set serious targets for 2023 and go back to weight loss. Need to speak to doctor about a 'plumbing' issue which I know I shouldn't ignore.

I hope everyone has had an enjoyable festive period?Due to recently changing jobs we have eased back on the clearing out. Not to loose heart, we have found a new home for an old chest. It's going over to friends of ours at New Year along with a few other bits.More importantly we managed to sell the surplus wood flooring we had from our lounge and hall, thus clearing the biggest frog we have had this year. Here's to a happier, healthier 2023.May you find your sister soon Helli.
Sleep well.12 -

A pen out, spoke to BG who keep rearranging times and renewal nearly 100% more. Sent email as also over charged me. Found out bank never cancelled my old card so baddies kept trying to buy things - bank has my complaint. Abit carried away in m&s , some things to take back but keeping the many socks I bought. I have been buying only black socks then dark blue and its really annoying as some are slightly different and some more worn so takes too long to pair them! Hoping to declutter more than socks before moving to 2023. A neighbour offering lots of stationery and frames was very tempting and did take 2 small picture fremaes ( have lots of black and white family photos at my dads) but resisted so many things.
With frogs etc I think I could have got to my original target as alot of paper frogs to do and a few eaten this week.13
