Operation rearrange upstairs room is underway.Out - 1 small suitcase and 1 large storage box. Several ood toiletries and general gubbins in the toiletry shelves.Due to be picked up - some more bathroom bits, plus several packs of crafting papers.Charity bag - some books, a pair of stilettos and some odd bits of clothes. Not yet taken as I'm hoping to add a few more bits.A few more bits listed on olio but no interest yet, will go to charity if no interest by next week.
I have also done my first ebay listing - something I've never really been bothered to deal with before, but for something worth a little more I'm now willing to give it a try.
Now to wait for Mr Puppy to finish work so he can help me with shifting furnitureI'm confident that this will actually be done before I'm back at work!15 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV during daylight hours 😉 AB2 playing zero - 20/9/2022
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I never did do anything on Wednesday other than knit & watch TV 😔 Although the 2nd beanie is 3/4 done 😉 Dinner was gammon, oven chips, baked beans & fried eggs. Followed by Christmas Pudding with either Baileys Double Cream or Brandy Double Cream. Rather amusing that the first dousing with cognac wouldn’t light so put a 2nd lot on & watched the pretty blue flames 🙂 but this meant that DSis could barely eat it as the pudding was so boozy 🤣 Wudupa. Then at 9:35pm DH got a message from his niece M. (the one who lives & works in London & has myriad health issues) letting him know she was in A&E, Whipps Cross Hospital - he was suited & booted & gone within 10 minutes. Apparently she had spent Christmas with her sister & barely eaten or drunk & on returning home had collapsed. DH was at the hospital within 25 minutes, then had to hunt around to find her - apparently the hospital is huge. He eventually did & just to make her feel even worse one of the nurses commented on DH’s arrival with these words to DH’s niece “is this your son, how lovely of him to visit” DH retrieved the situation with - “now you know how ill you are & how ill you look” DH stayed with her until she was seen by the doctor & put on IV fluids & antibiotics & transferred to a ward for at least an overnight stay. DH was home just before midnight & contacted M’s sister. A very worrying couple of hours especially as M is DH’s favourite niece.2240 - 2245 Kitchen recycling & detritus, egg boxes, drinks cans, cardboard packaging & plastic packaging disposed of appropriately
Thursday is a dry bright day so far. The day has started with 2 surprises - bin men have been just one day behind schedule & I received a letter from my aunt who lives in France. Apparently the cards I send for Christmas & her December birthday (92 this year) are arriving but this is the first time in at least 5 years that she has replied. My persistence has paid off so I will write a newsy letter in the next few days. No messages from M yet but if she is staying in hospital, DH will visit before going shopping.Floss, your DiL is obviously so nice that you are hoping DS1 will find someone like her 😉 Sorry to hear that you are so unwell that you got sent home from work 🤒 Please spend some time in the TLC Carriage & fortify yourself for the clothes sort out 😊
These winter bugs are certainly making their presence felt vulpix 😔 With most of your family gathered together in one place, hopefully you will be able to have some down time & be looked after with plenty of TLC 🤞 I love that your mum has become one of the members of the “I’m insert age you know” club 😂

I'm glad your DH's niece is on the mend Mrs SD. That was strange that she didn't eat over xmas?!
I called up the local charity shop and it was open, they answered on one ring which surprised me! We went to drop off the three big donation bags which contained:
1 picture
1 pair of boots,
1 hat,
1 teddy bear,
4 handbags,
Halloween decorations,
1 jumper,
1 top,
1 shirt.
2 pairs of trousers were binned as I couldn't donate them, my husband wears out his stuff at work as he has to do dirty/manual work.
2 old t-shirts are going to be used when we dye our hair and then will be binned.
We have two other pictures to donate, but they were too big for us to carry alongside the bags and with our dog with us!
I may have bought a "gold" costume necklace for NYE. Only £5 and I have a gold bag and gold scarf to match.:)2025 GOALS

How worrying for DH
His niece is in the best place and hopefully her stay won't be too long. She is lucky to have a caring Uncle and Aunt.
(((Hugs))) to all the poorlies and to all that need. DH is sat on the other couch, coughing and sneezing up a storm - I have absolutely no hope of avoiding whatever bug he has-share and share alike
Today - practise decluttering ready for boarding the 2023 train as a newbie:- 1 - 3. Plastic bottles x2; mince pie wrapping to recycling - classing this as maintenance decluttering

- 5. Emptying a drawer (full of stuff that is never used - now in a bag to sort through - classing this as new decluttering

My family came to visit this afternoon which was lovely and lifted my spirits even further. We got nice consumable gifts. Watched A Christmas Carol - I always make sure I watch, listen or read it every year I love the story so much.
Had a leisurely declutter and clean over the last few days and I managed to resist the urge of spending my Christmas TK Maxx voucher on a dress that caught my eye.

Well packing is half way there, everything in piles and needs to be sorted and culled before going into the case. In my defence OH has Sciatic flare up after grouting the tiles in bathroom yesterday and in a lot of pain since. So been looking after him and Dd plus running around. WFH tomorrow so there will be a lot of multitasking to get everything done.Had to unpack a case of clothes just so I could use it (many summer ones with price tags on and currently too small). Need to be realistic after holiday about if I'm going to lose the weight and if I would wear the items again. Otherwise they are going.12

I hope your Niece is on the mend now Mrs SD. Everyone else too, either poorly or fed up.
I took everyone out today to a brewery pizzeria. Enjoyed by all even my Mum ,even though she is deaf as a post and the place was really busy and the music was really loud. We had to shout like Brian Blessed to speak to her! Mr V has gone to work and DD2 gone home as she is at work tomorrow. The others are rampaging around the High Peak with their exuberant youthful energy and loving life. I can't wait to have a day at home pottering. No luck, I am out with DS tomorrow whilst DD1 and BF visit friends in Manchester. DIL going home as it is her Mum's Birthday.
Our Christmas was lovely. I received a dressing gown and some silver earrings from Secret santa. DD1 also gave me a beautiful hand knitted (not by her) Shetland shawl. Mr V got what he wanted,a label machine. The air B n B is absolutely lovely. Very tasteful. Very minimalist.
Out 4 pens given to DS from my bedside drawer.
a bottle of Baileys given to DD2
a bottle of wine given to neighbours
a bottle of whiskey given to DD BF Mr V is given loads of bottles from various jobs. There must be 10 bottles of JD in the pantry of doom.
a folding brass table
a Persian rug
They did try to stuff the giant leather chair into DIL's boot but no luck so it is back in the house. None of us has a big enough boot to move the darn thing.
All the wrapped gifts have left my bedroom along with all the wrapped Birthday gifts. Yess. I bought DS some merch from the brewery today for his April Birthday. That is our family Birthdays done until September .
I have a germ of an idea that I would like to put in motion. Long story short I was asked to read a children's Christmas story on the radio,my choice,3 minutes long. Well ! easier said than done.many children's books rely on seeing the illustrations or they were too long, too old,too dull etc, etc. I asked DS to write me one. He did. He actually wrote two which have been broadcast and well received. I have worked with young children for over 40 years and I actually think that the stories would stand up to be published. I would like to go down the self publishing route as a surprise for him. Does anyone have any experience or advice?
Goodness look at the time, they want me to meet for breakfast, better go to sleep first then.

My ebay listing sold! I'm very pleased with that, as I was willing to give it away for free to get it out of the house, but decided to give selling a try. It's a pick up though, so likely won't leave the house for a day or two but still 😄13
