Hi all, I have just realised I have posted on the new thread, no idea how to copy over so just to say I am still working on my targets for 2023 and have spent lots of time socialising with friends and family.
Hugs to all who would like one and I hope everyone gets over the lurgy that is currently doing the rounds.
I am gobsmacked at the easter stuff in the shops already, we haven't even got through the Christmas treats yet
Welcome to all the new people, lots of lovely people here to help you on journey.
Take care everyone15 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV during daylight hours 😉 AB2 playing zero - 20/9/2022
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedSo much for sorting my wardrobe on Tuesday 😔 I did manage to finish knitting a beanie & start another one 😉 Thoroughly enjoyed the last episode of Black Sands - plenty of shocks even though the killer had been rather signposted from episode 5 of 8. Interesting writing & stunning landscape with the added bonus that a second series is being written 🥳 From overcast & chilly Tuesday descended into very wet, windy & cold. Dinner was the last of the meat shared out + last of the bubble & squeak for DH & me + mashed potato, peas & roasted carrots. DSis also had a couple of large weak snowballs & for once the opened bottle of advocaat has been stored in the fridge 🙂 All that is left of Christmas dinner is the gravy which will be used for hm soup. Wudupa. Fell asleep on the sofa for 3 hours & then another 2 hours in bed.
Wednesday is a dark, damp day but I am up & dressed & drinking my first cuppa. I will try to do something, anything today other than knitting 😉2234 - 2237 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, small coffee tin, cardboard packaging - recycled
2238 - 2239 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging - binnedExcellent decluttering Wednesday2000 👏 Shame about the red jumper but at least your husband got an extra Christmas gift 😉 Good luck with using up your beauty products 🍀
Thanks for the photo vulpix 👏 the first thing I noticed was the price of the chocolate bunnies - how much 😣 2nd thing was the odd placement - next to kitchen rolls 🤔 Loving the idea of ‘frog tickling’ 🥲
Floss, Sorry to hear that illness scuppered your Christmas plans 🙁 Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery 🤞 Perhaps DS1 could gently remove the baubles for you to pack up whilst you spend time in the TLC Carriage 😉
QueenJess, hopefully you can enjoy your mini holiday from decluttering 🤞Very impressed with your forward planning - using your local buy nothing group 👏 I imagine the plan for you & DH to both go part time is both exciting & scary in equal measure. There are many threads on the MSE OS Forum (I lurk on several of them 😉) that can offer plenty of advice & useful ideas to help you make the most of your reduced income 🙂
I rather like the vision of a ‘praying’ dishwasher, GrannyKate 😁 Your Christmas sounds wonderful - good food & great company & lovely presents 😊. Well done on managing to continue your annual tradition of getting a photograph of all the grandchildren together 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏
Shame about the awful drive home Fizz2015 😔 especially after what was probably a lovely time spent with family in a beautiful part of the country 😊 Now that your holiday is almost upon you, you must be getting quite excited - what a lovely way to start 2023 ☺️ - decluttering stress & making memories - what is not to like 😉
Nice to see you TripleH 👋 Great work selling the extra flooring especially as it was a frog 👏 I am sending you a medal 🏅 to celebrate the creation of space & putting a few ££ in the coffers 🙂
Great decluttering short_bird 👏
What an absolute pain re BG & also the credit card TC77 😡 Once the bank have dealt with your complaint & hopefully offered some compensation for such shoddy customer service, it might be time to consider a new bank 😉 I am awarding you a medal 🏅 for resisting temptation re the neighbour’s offer of stationery items + having dealt with so many frogs I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️
No problem Liverpool_Anne - I have reserved you a seat on the 2023 EDT 😉 Like you I am gobsmacked at Easter products being foisted on us already 😲P.S. Postman has just arrived & is still smiling - he thanked me again for his Christmas Box which apparently was a better present than the tons of aftershave he received 🤣 DH is now up & has changed his mind about going out having seen the miserable weather 🙁 However he still has 2 days to do his trip using buses, DLR & tube trains & visiting unusual stations 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 🥇🥇🥇 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🏆

I mustn't be well - I managed to marry off DS1 & DDiL, when it is DS2 who's married 🤦♀️ They're back home now anyway, but that tree is tormenting me...
I went into work today & was sent home at lunchtime so me & the cat are cluttering up the sofa watching TV.
I need to sort my wardrobe, I have clothes that fit but I don't wear, clothes I wear & clothes that don't fit. It's making life a bit difficult as I need to sift through before I can get dressed every day.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I am taking 5. The cold has come back with a vengeance. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Today is our Christmas day. I was up at 5:30 to collect DD1 and BF from the airport , their flight was cancelled and so they didn't get in till 9:30 on a replacement plane. Everyone else is here except my Mum who has overdone it at my Nephews over Christmas. She is 89 next week so we can forgive her. Hahaha she has turned into one of those elderly people who say uninvited " I'm 89 you know".
Shortly we will decamp to the larger air b n b that the kids are staying at for a few days. We are sitting in shifts at this house! It is only a minutes walk away.
Out today will be Christmas and Birthday gifts a lot of food and drinks and a folding table and a rug. Yipee. oh,also some silk scrunchies I made for the non vegans and brass blinkers from my Grandads heavy horse to DS.

5255-5256: card packaging to recycling
5257-5262: food packaging to bin.
Back at work this evening then 2 more shifts to go this year - Friday evening and Saturday morning.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

A very profitable clear out of the kitchen cupboards. Fossilised OOD foods have been binned and the cupboards rearranged and cleaned.Mini fridge has now been moved out of the kitchen back to the shed. Not having that lurking in the corner of the kitchen has made me feel so much more serene 😇

Also completed a Frog by way of completing a mandatory training course. Only 2 more to go to achieve compliance again.
Also bag of stepsons clothes for friend tomorrow and another bag full ready for charity shop.
Off to have fish and homemade chips for tea with toasted veg.
The tree and decs will be coming down this evening.
And I still need to pack for holiday - I'm usually so organised. Must write a list.

overwhelmed and trying to ignore physical declutter as weighed down by having to sort renewals for broadband, pet insurance, etc and had policy for washing machine which apparently I should have had a 2 year guarantee but took out policy but they've set it up from oct 2023! so have to pay...... another complaint made... far too much hassle. A few receipts out. Back at work but taking some half days off, DD2 has mocks starting next week and DD1 has assessments and exams and both are stressed so focusing on food etc and DD1 has issues with her flat. Think Jan will be focused on resolving ongoing issues, and then can think about sorting the house but will be on that 2023 decluttering train. Getting over feeling v under the weather so hoping that has a part to play in overwhelm. Take care all x11

Swimming pool closed tonight so have been sorting out finances which are in a muddle, changed accounts and have accounts with £2.50 in etc so generally a muddle and unsure what I'm paying for DD1 and on my dad's house etc. Made some progress and list of calls to make at some point tomorrow in break from work. Did take sale items back to shop bought yesterday (or some of them) and bought 2 more,. still less than I took back!12

A couple of quiet days here before children arrive again. I need to look at bank accounts.
1348 Manky Santa hat binned
1349 Wrapping paper to recycling centre
1350 Large cardboard boxes to recycling
1351 Trifle bowl to rubbish - keeps coming off its glass pedestal - I only paid £6 at antiques centre for it. I ate the trifle first - yummy
1352 Bag of general rubbish
1353 Bag of batteries out with recycling this morning
1354 Mammoth lego sort with DS2 - broken bits and random tat binned. he has sold some more small sets but not left the house yet.
1355 At least a dozen medicine spoons gone. I noticed another poster listing this and I realised that every time I buy stuff for children I just keep the spoons/syringes. Small box now shuts easily and I just have three or so to allow for washing.
First job of the day is to sort my bedroom - every surface has things on it including the unused other half of the king sized bed!
