1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV during daylight hours 😉 AB2 playing zero - 20/9/2022
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedThursday gradually got wetter 🙁 DH did visit M. & she was looking a lot better. She is currently undergoing tests so will stay in hospital for at least a couple of days. It transpires that she was feeling so unwell over Christmas that she didn’t eat or drink & consequently stopped taking any of her myriad tablets 😔 Hence her collapse & taking herself (somehow) to the hospital 🙁 Unfortunately the room she is in is a black spot - no phone signal at all 😔 Thank you all for your kind wishes for M’s speedy recovery 👏
I did make soup using bottom of fridge vegetables & the last bag of roasted vegetables from the freezer. It is yet to be taste tested but it does smell tasty 🤞DH got back & we unpacked & put away most of the shopping. Third surprise of the day - window cleaner & his wife turned up. They had both had Covid over the Christmas period 🙁 even though both of them had been ultra careful & had worn masks up until November 😔 Seems that even the most careful people can still succumb. I finished knitting the 2nd beanie & started a 3rd. Dinner was pork steaks, mash, roasted carrots & peas + sweetcorn. Finished of the Christmas pudding & 2 of the 3 alcoholic cream sauces. Wudupa.
2246 - 2251 Kitchen recycling & detritus, drinks cans, plastic pots & trays, cardboard packaging disposed of appropriately
Friday is a miserable dark & very wet day. Managed 5 hours sleep in bed 😉 Not dressed yet but enjoying my first cuppa.

Just like to say Thankyou to each and every one of you here - I have had a year of highs and lows in EDL but my one great achievement is transforming the RoD back into a bedroom /oasis of calm spurred on by all your posts.
Every morning I have had my breakfast reading the previous day's activities and it has spurred me on and bit by bit - selling / donating and upcycling the RoD is no more and the rest of the house is also shaping up well to.
There is still much more to do but with a reserved seat in the Dining car for breakfast , I am sure I will achieve even more in 2023
Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.Thats what I keep telling myself :-)14 -

Mrs SD, it grieves Mr V that I had a show on Hospital radio in 1975, he didn't get a break till the 80's. Hahahahaha It never occured to me that I could have made a career of it. My career path was nursing at the time, I was just asked as I was "bubbly". Hospital radio is many broadcasters entry into the profession.
Out a broken Christmas cup. Owes me nowt it was from the pound shop 25 years ago.
Off out with DS shortly, It will involve looking at a lot of books in charity shops I imagine.

Hi everyone
I've been away to visit my family. Now I'm catching up with my internet family
Almost all Xmas gifts have been given to their recipients except a bag of presents for a friend that includes last year's Xmas gifts and her birthday gifts from August! I have posted some presents to another friend including a book of short stories called Murder at Christmas which i want her to receive this month if possible !
I'm looking forward to taking down all the Xmas decs and clearing more clutter next year.
Love to all

Fab news on the stories @vulpix. What a great gift for him.
I expect you will really enjoy the calm once things have settled down after the festive season.
I think I will aim for that next year as a decent target @fritzie-65.
So I have been doing childcare duties and hosting friends and family this week.
I have a free day today and was hoping to pop into ex work to visit a colleague, visist my Sister's partner and do some decluttering. We were to host a buffet to celebrate B& SiL 35th wedding anniversary tonight with family members coming. Sadly this is all not going to happen as BiL flat has been trashed by a 'friend'. Someone who has been looking after their unwanted dogs while they were away and was a trusted friend. She had used drugs but had been clean for a while from my understanding. Not the saje addict who had started staying over recently. Anyway they have damaged gas and electricity meters I am told and broken everything in the kitchen, pulled out the freezer and fridge contents.
This person also threatened B.with a knife B was a 'friend' who has introduced this flat trasher addict, the second addict the dogs, a kitten a few weeks ago. I would hate to be her enemy.
So I am driving up to Manchester. Need to see what needs doing. They were going back Monday but this will be unlikely. Also social services need to be talked to. They have a social worker. They may need the electric and gas companies to check meters and obviously replacement of some items plus food. They are not insured but seeing as this person was looking after their pets and had a key they may not be enititled to much.
Right. Off for a long drive.

I have a germ of an idea that I would like to put in motion. Long story short I was asked to read a children's Christmas story on the radio,my choice,3 minutes long. Well ! easier said than done.many children's books rely on seeing the illustrations or they were too long, too old,too dull etc, etc. I asked DS to write me one. He did. He actually wrote two which have been broadcast and well received. I have worked with young children for over 40 years and I actually think that the stories would stand up to be published. I would like to go down the self publishing route as a surprise for him. Does anyone have any experience or advice?
Goodness look at the time, they want me to meet for breakfast, better go to sleep first then.

Today will be a strange day - not long awake with my first cuppa - DH was so poorly last night, coughed all night long. He has at last fallen into a deep sleep, so I'll let him be for a couple of hours before waking him.
@bit_by_bit Safe journey. Remember to look after yourself - working with addiction (of what ever type) in the family is never easy.
@vulpix I am not a published writer by any means but it is an area that I am interested in. This is a Canadian forum that I am a member of - it is free but offers a "donation as you can afford it" model. It has a section covering self-publishing https://creativeacademyforwriters.com/ (Mods please delete link if not allowed)12 -
I am just going to fill in my new 2023 calendar and bin the old one. I also decluttered some toiletries today. Empty shampoo and bubble bath containers.
I have had an upset stomach the past two days so I just stayed in bed most of the day today. I'm sitting in bed now with the calendar and pen and yellow highlighter pen. I want to make sure I'm well enough to go out tomorrow night!
Have a happy new years eve whatever you are all doing.xxx2025 GOALS

Will post here seeing as it’s still 2022.
Ventured to the garage today. I need space to put my new big Christmas tree away.Managed to get the remaining slot at the tip and reversed car into driveway and piled it up.
An old and broken dressing table, 3 random bits of carpet ( think son had used them for his bikes in his flat …to prevent the actual carpet getting muddy.
His old hoover that was a bit rubbish anyway and my mums hoover that didn’t work either and I’d kind of hung on thinking I’d get it looked at. A broken clothes airer. The leg had snapped off. With a why was I even keeping this! A broken curtain pole. And when I came back I sorted through some boxes of stuff that came from mums. So a pile in the bin, stuff recycled, pile for charity tomorrow and then friend is taking away the big empty plastic tubs and tins of buttons and threads for her theatre group. It’s a start!12
