The loft clearout has stalled since I last posted, with the exception of 3 boxes downstairs that I have to keep moving off the table every time we have dinner because I have yet to do anything to them !
I did a tip run but it took two attempts as the queue was out of the tip and up the road the first time I went and I didn’t have enough time to wait. Managed to get rid of some random bed slats and bed supports, I’m not even sure which bed they belonged to. Also dumped various pieces of shelving which equates to about 2 bags.
On our local freebies site, I’ve got rid of a baby car mirror, 2 children’s puzzles, 2 large metal filing boxes and hanging files, a small side table, a hold-all, cross body bag and purse, a bag of Christmas stuff and 2 children’s games. All in all, it adds up to 8 bags of stuff so still moving in the right direction. So 21.5 bags now in total.
We need to give notice on the storage unit next week and all the stuff needs to be out but the end of the month. Almost all the stuff coming back is already sorted out, so there won’t be that much more to get rid of.
I’ve recently started using Vinted and have had much more success than I have previously done on bay, I’ve sold and sent 3 things this week which is more stuff out.
I’ve decluttering some money and brought myself a Fitbit and signed up to a challenge to walk the equivalent distance of Hadrian’s Wall. My appointments with the consultant for my ME last month were disappointing at best and he offered absolutely no solutions or suggestions whatsoever (this is probably why the last time I saw him was 2004), so I've decided to see if trying to be a bit more active helps at all. It won’t help my fatigue at all (possibly quite the opposite) but may help my mental health and it’s something I can do with the children too. If I don’t get any better by April when I have to return to my full hours at work, I’m not going to manage, so I have to try.
I agree that you need a gold star ⭐️ Mrs SD, the thread is moving so quickly and you still manage lots of fantastic cheerleading !
Stay safe everyone and hugs to those that need them xxx
