Hi everyone
We haven't started on the loft today, DH wanted to carry on with job (frog) that he's doing at the moment, I'll be adding that to the list when it's (finally) finished.
Things have left, or that have been actioned, today are:54. Last week’s newspaper recycled
55. Emails sent
56. 1700 emails deleted
57. Three finished candles – binned
58. Filing done
59. Pile of papers recycled
60. Catalogues recycled
Thank you for the encouragement Mrs SD, it really helps. Well done to everyone, you're all doing really well as old Mr Grace used to say (from "Are You Being Served" and old TV programme for those who aren't old enough to remember it!).

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks.
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedBack again 🙂GrannyKate, so happy to hear that you are enjoying your newly decluttered study 🙂 Excellent loft tidying & decluttering 👏 Enjoy your few days away - hopefully the weather will be dry & bright 🤞Lovely post 2Scratters 😊What a lovely surprise for your Firstborn, Vascodakarma 🥳 Wishing him a very Happy Birthday 🎂So sorry to hear that your joints are painful Blackberrycurved 😞 please try to stay warm 🙏balabooberlies, you have taken the first step so now you can plan your attack & your addled brain can take a hike 😉
Thank you for my medal bit_by_bit 👏 Btw great cheerleading from you bit_by_bit 🙂 Great decluttering 👏 Well done on taking control - when circumstances change we need to be able to adapt & you are doing a grand job 👏 I am also impressed that you have recognised that self care is so important 🙂👏 Sending hugs 🤗 as needed 🙂Fizz2015, Thanks for the information on growing chillies 👏 Tomorrow I will brave the cold & locate my seeds & seed trays in the shed. The kitchen window sill gets all the available sun but I will need to put the tray in the airing cupboard each night - fingers crossed that this will be successful 🤞
roundtuit, what a brilliant idea re keeping Christmas cards from your nearest & dearest 🙂 Excellent work & as you say every little helps 👏 Like you I check my bank statement every month & then file with the previous 2 months statements 🙂
Welcome aboard The EDT mehefin 👋 Excellent work on dealing with two major frogs & paperwork 👏 As to the current speed of the train, I am sure it will slow down🤞 - even I am struggling to keep up 😉
Okay Blackberrycurved - one carriage duly designated as the dieting & exercise carriage 🙂 - it is located next to the TLC Carriage 😉 which is a fair distance from the buffet car 😉 every little helps 😉
A very productive day nannywindow 👏 I have the same challenge with the freezer 😉 but I am gradually getting better at cooking the exact amount that will be eaten so few los are getting in 😉 I am determined to defrost the kitchen freezer in the next 3 weeks 🤞🙂 Very good news that the hospital have been in touch 🙂florianatwobob, Good work on keeping the ironing under control - you should be proud 🥲
Excellent work EnergyShifter 👏 Your walk obviously replenished your energy reserves 🙂👏
All caught up 🙂About to start making dinner - mushroom risotto - takes a while but so delicious 😋

Sterling work Mrs SD, a gold star 🌟 for you for keeping up with this train. On the topic of chillies , I have grown them easily in the past they thrive on neglect here, and can be kept in the house ,one plant provides lots of chillies. I’ve kept 1. Plant for may years. I would like to start one from scratch again so thank you for the reminder that now is a good time.I am looking forward to a week off and hope to do some walking and general decluttering .Onwards and upwards .🥂Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.14

14. Box for my PC monitor which has been sitting in my office for over 6 months has finally gone for recycling
15. Another couple of old textbooks and another wodge of paperwork sorted through and recycled
16. Another psychological one - decided to really focus in on the core bits of my coursework from the outset, instead of being determined that I have to do everything perfectly at the beginning (and then rapidly lower my standards the closer the deadline gets, and end up feeling stressed and disappointed)14 -
Well another day has evaporated before our busy household and more stuff has been confined to never darken our door again...
Day 9
* An assortment of tat and rubbish from DD's room - at least 5 items of broken toys and a broken hanger
* 1 pair of well worn underpants to the bin
* 1 pair of well worn and out grown pair of little un's trainers to the bin
* 1 Christmas jumper and 1 pair of kids leggings to friends donation bag
* 1 set of elbow, knee and wrist pads for skateboarding to charity bagMFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......13 -
Sooo, my counting has already gone for a burton because this is moving so fast I can’t find my last post.
So far I have:
Christmas wreath (pine ones removed for kindling)
Christmas Garland
String of lights
3 pictures.
Pair of pyjamas to the charity shop as replaced by new ones
couple of unwanted gifts ditto
Book, ditto
30 odd keys and padlocks (don’t ask).
Gave the spare room a though clean which was well overdue.Fridge thoroughly disinfected. There’s probably more but anything that happened more than a day ago has already vanished into the mist. Also wrestled with one computer frog with another one to go.
House surfaces are still staying clutter free and I’m doing well at washing up every day.
Admittedly we’re only just over a week in but it’s a week more than I’ve managed until now.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.13 -
A blue IKEA bag of clothes, shoes, bags, books & assorted bric-a-brac went to the Cancer Research shop today... I was very good and only brought 3 items of clothing (inc. a pair of Hobbs black velvet jeans that I debated buying in the sales) & 2 books back!
Later I put more stuff aside, including a table runner & several sets of napkins last used pre-divorce and a pair of non-ugg boots that I have replaced with real Uggs cast-off from a friend.
I feel as though I have decluttered a couple of lbs but will confirm in the morning as Monday is weigh-day! I certainly haven't drunk as much wine, which has to be a good thing!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

@elsien.. a week of surfaces staying clear is fab... I sometimes manage 48 hours (in some areas)
Moved out of the buffet train.. think my nos are 64
suitcase binned - mouldy and broken 65
chest of drawers and pressies to DD1 67
Took her xmas tree to council collection point (ok not from my house but good to do - although need to hoover car now) 68
last few decorations away 69 (waiting for someone to pick up my second xmas tree (fake)
ood food 70
moved my pc to bedroom (as have a bay area and its warm so temp til feb/march) and cleaned area where it was and means I have moved a few frogs along - only abit so half count for each 73
couple of other parts of things that I now longer have (Identifiable but of no use to anyone) 75
Some catching up with work, and made a list for work, and frogs to chase during breaks
remembered 2 books into CS bag and a woven item 78
Do realise that I have to scale back my ambitions and that January will be a catching up month. There are always things that appear that mean its several steps back at times, or abit quagmire like.
Hope everyone is staying safe and being kind to yourself
Glad to see medals and stars awarded to Mrs SD.
