1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks. 2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays. 3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉 4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Spent Saturday in the buffet car & only did 2 tasks. Sunday now has a list of 8 tasks 😔 Dinner was from the freezer - portion of hm shepherds pie & 2 portions of cottage pie + frozen broccoli. Gradually emptying the kitchen freezer as it really does need defrosting. Wudupa,
43 Kitchen recycling 44 Kitchen detritus binned
I started singing florianatwobob “ the weather outside is frightful, the fire inside delightful etc” 😉 However you & DSis made good used of your enforced indoor time - excellent decluttering 👏 especially impressed with tackling the under stairs cupboard 🙂
Excellent decluttering Thrifty_Taylor 👏
Excellent decluttering mothernerd, you have been busy yet again 👏 Your number of 586/2022 has earned you a Gold Star ⭐️ I like your description of ‘interesting conversation with DS2’ - just wondering how much actual assistance he has offered 🤔 I was not too convinced about the garden furniture 🤨 sounds more like something he wants 😉 - although I can on occasion be a bit cynical 🤨 You have my vote - I think giving away the purple & gold tree ornaments at the funeral is a lovely idea 🙂☺️☺️ I was also very impressed that you were planning all the time - asking what types of donations each charity shop required - so organised - one medal 🏅 to accompany the gold star 👏🙂
What a thoughtful DS1 Baxtersmum 🙂 Sounds like a wonderful Saturday 😊 Good decluttering - I love seeing your numbers decreasing 👏
Nothing wrong with that Blackberrycurved 🙂 - you were just charging up your Life Batteries in preparation for completion of your accounts on Sunday 😉
Good work GeorginaCavendish - clutter avoidance is an important part of reaching a clutter free home & life 👏 Looking forward to the cinnamon buns 😉
Lovely supportive post balabooberlies 👏
Excellent work marrob 👏 especially dealing with the frog 🙂
Suffolksue, I will have none of that - not a hint of failure & no comparisons to other declutterers ‘wagging finger emoji’ We all work at a different pace & you dealt with two, not just one, financial frog 👏 Well done on the excellent weight loss 👏
Excellent decluttering EnergyShifter 👏 especially dealing with the accounts frog 🙂 Do try to remember to make sure your Jan 2022 self is as kind to your Jan 2023 self 😉
Great cheerleading balabooberlies 👏 hopefully Suffolksue will take note & realise how well she has done 😉🙂
Sorry to hear you have been unwell charlies_tribe 😔 but you have still managed to do a lot of decluttering 👏 I fell off the sofa laughing when I read about the reappearing dog’s ears tweezers 😂 but at least you have two now 😉
Good work shangaijimmy 👏
Ah yes TC77 - you were just building up your energy reserves 😉 and it obviously worked as you have nudged a few frogs, decluttered & also persevered re the complicated cat feeder 👏 Fingers crossed that you get your money back 🤞
Balabooberlies & TC77 re adding Gold Stars I think copy & paste is the only way - as stars are not part of the selection of icons available in Profile 🤞
Excellent decluttering Fizz2015 👏 Very impressed with how busy you have been & how hard you have worked 👏 A question about growing your chillies - do you have a greenhouse? I would really like to grow chillies but don’t have a greenhouse or even space for one 😔
Well done on all the work oceanspirit 👏 Remember that decluttering is not just about getting rid of ‘physical stuff’ - it is also about decluttering mental & emotional baggage. Giving yourself some TLC & reminding us how nice one can feel taking time out to spoil oneself 🙂👏
I love your solution for noting your awards balabooberlies 🙂
Well done on decluttering the emails dollypeeps 👏 remember cleaning & tidying is all part of the decluttering process 🙂
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 no wonder you are feeling the aches & pains 😱 Shame the virtual running doesn’t translate into weight loss 😉😂 What an impressive lady you are - from technophobe to techno wizard in 3 years 👏🙂 I don’t even own a mobile phone 😉 You are not alone in being frightened of unplugging things 😔 get my DH to deal with anything like that 😉 Not really a sexist remark in my opinion just a fact of life - for some reason most men’s brains are wired differently to women’s brains & they appear to have few problems with technology 🙂 However it must be said that when women do grasp technology they are good at it 🙂👏
Excellent decluttering & sorting vulpix 👏 No more pantry of doom 🥳 No need to worry about frogs just yet - after all there are only 24 hours in a day & you have enough on your plate 😉 I am sending the sewing fairies to assist you 🤞
Hopefully you are feeling a lot better TheCraftyForager 🤞 so that you can thoroughly enjoy your holiday and birthday 🥳 Will put the champagne on ice & have booked you in for a Spa Day 🧖♀️ Well done on decluttering emails 👏
Well done on taking some time to aid your shoulder recovery, Liverpool_Anne 🙂 Lockdowns may have been a pain but I think a lot of us got to know our neighbours a little better 🙂 which probably went a long way to saving our sanity 👏 Well done on decluttering 50 emails before getting bored 👏 Not sure I am going to manage all three at once 😱 but I really do want to avoid taking the pills (for the rest of my life & I am hoping to get The Telegram from the monarch of the time 🤣) that the nurses keep trying to fob me off with 😉 so I do have a really good incentive 🙂 PLUS when I manage all three my DH will be really happy 😃

Blooming lost a post so going to try and remember as much as I can. Hunted round as I thought my numbers are low and I’m sure it was higher after Christmas dec put away.
🎉5. Paperwork frog that I’ve put off for several months. Got on the phone to sort on Friday, printed off necessary paperwork and now in the post. Happy days! It was a very annoying frog that was bugging me
🎉6 have to go to the next town to get specialised prescription crunchies for one of the cats. Took a trip yesterday afternoon to pick up some and took a bag of empty cat sachets to drop off as it’s my nearest sachet recycling point and I go thru quite a few 🎉7. empty box of matches that have been travelling around the kitchen in the hope there was always one match left-binned 🎉8 another glut of cardboard-recycling 🎉9. hair stuff of DDs -recycling 🎉10 Empty lighter for the candles now into recycling. (Making a concerted effort to use up some of my many candles this year aswell) 🎉11. Broken Christmas dec-binned 🎉12. Cardboard and odd bits of packaging from bauble storage boxes-binned 🎉13. Half used Christmas candle and holder-binned and recycled 🎉14. A snowman DD made 21 years ago. Really really didn’t want to get rid of this but it was falling to bits and we have another she made that goes on top of the tree. I’m a scrapbooker so did think of scrapbooking it but it would not have lasted. Then pinched an idea from here, took photos of it front and back which I will scrapbook instead so still have the memories so feel happier about this. Also there was another post that made me think. When I go the snowman will just be chucked out as it was a memory to me, but if I scrapbook it would become a memory for everyone as I’ve scrapbooked most years of DDs life to date and they tell a story so felt better doing this aswell.
Christmas boxes looked a lot better for a good sort and I’ve highlighted a number of things to go to the CS which I will take in December. Have also been slowly sorting things out ready for textile recycling, things to go to the CS like some of the clothes DD has left behind and whether she wants them
@Happy_Kitties I love the little celebration 🎉 it really made me smile!
Finally weighed myself after Christmas, I think that’s a Frog tackled, it wasn’t too much of an extra frog at 2lb but it has put me into the 12 stone bracket which at my height is about 3 stone too heavy, but on the plus side it’s filled out my neck crinkles 🤣😂
I’m not going to push myself too hard, just try for 1lb a week decluttering, I figure it’s taken me 5 years of being poorly to put it on and I don’t move as much as I did before so it should take me 6 years to get back to a size 10, slowly slowly, aiming for my 60th birthday 🥳
Wrapping eDay post today which along with walking to the post office is my nemesis, I procrastinate a while always on this.
Also need to list on eDay today.
Happy Sunday everyone, in the words of @shangaijimmy “Be Ruthless” xx

Christmas has been boxed and put away for next year.
My tree was once left up for two years - and it snagged on every pair of trousers that I wore. People thought I had a cat. Remembering things like that helps me to see how far I've come - instead of always looking at how far there is to go.
Newbie here, hello! -You're all so inspiring, I've been loving reading all you posts!
Live in a small flat with my DH (we just got married in October, still strange to call him husband! 🤣) and its chock to the rafters with stuff. Aim this year is to buy a house, nothing huge just two bedrooms would be nice, so when moving to a bigger place it wont seem as much stuff cos it'll be spread out more, but there is a lot we could do to sort through first!
Had a slow start to the year as FIL was visiting for NYE and only left on Thursday. but we sent him off with a dead kettle and two dead toasters from the cupboard! 🤣 our local electrical recycling at the tip will only let u in if u drive there, problematic when u dont have a car, so he said he could take them to his. Result!
Also random cardboard box gone, no idea what came in it. And I'm working on my toiletries this year, got a bit carried away buying all the pretties last year and now need to actually work through them. Why did I need 10 toners? No idea! 🤣

Happy Birthday crafty forager ,enjoy your holiday. I am still intending to have a holiday in the North East. It just never materialised last year.
Mrs SD I think just one of your goals at a time is sufficient, it would be too much for me to do all 3 at once. Permission to tackle the one easiest for you first given.
I have woken up today feeling even worse. Maybe I will take it easier today and sit and sew. I woke up thinking about the bloomin quilt. I hope she likes it! It has taken me a hundred of hours to make so far.
For the first full week of the new year I've managed to sell a 15 book set and a further single book on Ebay. Thirty books are sitting in bags waiting to be delivered to the charity shop next week. Not a bad start, but so much more to go.
Nice to get up this morning to my reorganised and clean study. No random papers scattered about. Going away for a few days tomorrow after I've taken GCs to school. I found some knee pads which made crawling in loft so much easier - think I may have had them on upside down. I'd better google a picture.
102 Got up in loft and tidied and resorted Christmas boxes. Just abandoned them near the hatch last week. Three items I've found in house added to them. 103 Loads more paper recycled 104 Found damaged cardboard box in loft - it got wet in storm and brought down. Contains some of my Swar***ki boxes which have a home elsewhere, 2 pictures and some china of my mothers in boxes. Bought it all down to rehome - damaged box recycled. That end of loft looking good now just Christmas, Easter and halloween boxes; suitcases (only 4 now); computer box in case I need to return it at anytime; old sewing box (empty) - late DH made it for his mother when he was at school; a few very old books and toys. 105-106 Mother's china vases - both in boxes but damaged. badly cracked one binned. One with very small chip to CS bag. I offered them to DB4 10 years ago when I cleared mother's house but he just mumbled - I might have them later (he had bought them for her). He lives abroad now and I'm not hanging on to them any longer Justin. Damaged anyway. Feeling decisive this week. 107-108 Two large family photos from Mum's house. I have smaller copies so they can go. Quite nice frames which I may use.
@balabooberlies I emphasise with your frog with Experian. If you have an idea of where you are at that's ok. It will clear your mind of uncertaintity and you will know exactly where you are and what you can do about it. There will only be 1 way to go whatever the result is. Good luck x
