Agree about MrsSD being a mega star keeping the EDC going and us all moving forward. So glad you're doing s 2023 train and will be joining. Think I declared my total of 2023 hut thinking about something which encourages minimal stuff in. Picked up a dozen books from.someone yesterday, ostensibly for dd2 as hoping to do english/ liberal arts at uni. I will do a book cull at some point in 2023 as brought in over 100 books last year from CS and my dads . And will be bringing more . Going to move my computer into bedroom as study too cold as not sorted carpet.
Stay warm everyone , very worrying times x12 -
DH is very pleased with the medal MrsSD
I am very exited about next years thread. Something very good to look forward to in 2023.
I am hoping to go for a city break in Liverpool next year and look forward to Greatys market. Derby will have no market by March 2023 as it being replaced with a Lid and something else. It is in a Westfeeld type centre and was always doomed. The other one is closed for renovations but will be reopening differently in 2024 so proper tradiotional stallhoders who moved to the closing market (they didn't know it was going to happen) will lose their livelihood. Shameful and sad.
Yes:worrying times @TC77. I consider myself very fortunate to have this thread among a few others where I find safety and comfort even on the worst days. I think next year I will be looking for even more silver linings.
Today I have designated as a rest day but will be cleaning and tidying over the day as my house is getting into a state again. It because I haven't been in much and I am a lazy so and so sometimes.I also have a sore throat so want to keep that at bay as I have childcare tomorrow.
Keep well and keep warm everyone. Hugs to those in need.

Good Morning chums, I hope you are keeping warm.
This cold snap has reinforced the need for wall insulation at this house. It was on my to do list but at the top now! The natural order of things has turned on it's head! We, who usually have 6 inches of snow at the drop of a hat have nowt to speak of and places that don't get to see much have snow instead. I am sure our turn will come.
Thank you for taking on the task of coordinator of a thread for next year Mrs SD, it must take so much of your time but it is very much appreciated. You have the skill of saying just the right thing to encourage people. The atmosphere
on the thread is kind and supportive to everyone, wherever they are on the decluttering journey. I know come new year there will be new joiners to befriend but I hope everyone here presently carries on posting next year. For me the thread fills a gap left by retirement in catching up with colleagues. I like to know how things turn out and how the family is etc. Thank you everyone for sharing with us.
We are off out soon, early for me. My Mum has asked me to get some gifts for her cousins and neighbour who puts her bin out. I am also in need of something else for DIL's birthday. Into the metropolis we go. I have looked online for what I want and I will be like a ninja, in ,out, and home.

I have a big bag of stuff for my husband to take to the charity shop today. One of the very big supermarket (Aldi) bags and it is totally full.
I am going to be more careful about what goes into my home next year as I have bought a lot of things this year with the house move.
I have set up a savings account for both of us as First Direct has 7% interest and I also want to save £365 next year for xmas.:)10 -
Mother collapsed on Friday and is in hospital having tests. Not much done over the weekend as dealing with phone calls to hospital and family etc. Dsis going to do hospital visit today.
Managed to deal with a frog so far this morning. Next I need to clean up a load of marmite off the kitchen floor - yes I know, it’s not easy to spill marmite and yet I have managed it. Oooh, a stroke of luck, OH has just arrived and offered to do marmite clean.
Will finish writing Christmas cards today and get them in the post + 2 more presents to decide what to get and order those. That will be everything done for Christmas so focus can get back on decluttering and frogs for the next few days.
Will be continuing on the 2023 EDT as won’t be finished before then - DSis won’t be able to help over the next few weeks as she will need to be sorting things out for mother.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅11 -
Decluttered (with neighbour) the snow from our shared path and then applied a liberal scattering of dishwasher salt to try and prevent black ice forming.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Morning all xx
I read one of the books that I brought down from RoD - so that's now in cs bag.
I've brought down, from RoD, a small trophy plate to go in DS's bag, and a stash of curtain hooks.....which I'm hoping to use to hang curtains at the window at the end of the kitchen (now that I can get to it). Curtains are currently in RoD2.
Little by little.
Take care

IT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme9 -
Husband had friend over again on Saturday and they place 3 of the 4 upstairs doors. Turns out we were wrongly advised by the DIY-store and all doors could have been 5cm/2" wider
. The casings were already cut to size, and the doors had to be ordered, so we can't return them. It has been a lot of extra, fiddly, work to make the holes smaller so that the casings fit. It took them 7 hours to fit the first door, then 3 hours to fit the next 2. Someday this week husband and I will fit the last door, and then we need to paint all of them within a fortnight, to prevent them attracting moisture.
