There was a famous one in Glasgow, called because of the many Irish who sold there. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paddy's_Market though Liverpool is also mentioned.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV during daylight hours 😉 AB2 playing zero - 20/9/2022
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedIt has been freezing all day but DH braved the cold & filled up the bird feeders & hung out a fat candle. The fat candle didn’t last long as the squirrels chewed through the plastic & it dropped to the ground 😔 The five squirrels 😱 took it in turns to chase each other off & managed to finish it in about 10 minutes - greedy little so and so’s 😖 The birdies never got a look in 🙁 DH fitted the new toilet seat 👏 Apart from sleeping most of the day I finished knitting a 3rd beanie & started on a 4th; chatted to neighbours A & G; composed the initial post for the 2023 Decluttering Thread, vacuumed the downstairs & cooked dinner - salmon, boiled potatoes & peas. DH has done the washing up. I will dry & put away.2132-2134 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, cardboard box - recycled
2134-2137 Kitchen detritus, plastic & polystyrene packaging - binned
Progress is progress grandmanerd 👏 Excellent work cleaning fridges & freezers 👏 Not really moaning at all grandmanerd - just expressing your exasperation & frustration at always being unappreciated 😉 This is a safe space to do exactly that 😊What a bargain Fizz2015 🥳 Well done to both you & OH for dealing with the washing & ironing 👏
Thanks Floss 🙂Thanks for the information on being a landlord, oceanspirit 👏
The Glasgow Paddy’s Market looked really interesting, Gers 🙂 Shame it closed down so long ago 🙁

Not much progress this week. Just been chaotic. Emails are down below 200 now though.4965-68 - kids clothes too small (charity bag)4969-78 - digital files deleted4979 - paper (reused and recycled)4980 - broken Lego brick (binned)Definitely need to keep on top of all the stuff.. it does breed when you aren't looking with kids. Been thinking about targets for next year and am thinking it still needs to be large numbers as the kids are so young (so clothes are in and out quickly as are some toys). I'm thinking of doing 3 targets, bronze medal: 3,000 items, silver medal 4,000 items and gold medal 5,000 items. I'll be happy with the first, the others will be a bonus!2025 decluttering: 3,324🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Thanks for that MrsSD. Great news on the 2023 thread and the EDT train. An excellent idea.
That bag sounds lovely @vulpix. I have been stranded in Buxton becasue of snow. It was a brave thing taking you up there. I also believe in th drip drip method of getting change. Works very well with some people.
I am also the big sister @grandmanerd. I totally get your annoyance. However @oceanspirit does have a point though. Shame the tenant can't buy the house then both problems will be solved.
So back from my family visit up to Blackpool. It was a strain for all sorts of reasons but still good to see them all. Family eh? No snow on the way back either. Glad I am not driving a distance again for a while.
Lovely DH had tea ready and had also started putting up decorations. He has NEVER done this before. He knows the lights make me happy though.
Whilst away I gave away another bag of gifts and cards. DB did give me a cat house and bed but that is ok.
So now the running around is done I am back to concentrating on decluttering....Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. Excellent news on the Decluttering thread for 2023 Mrs SD. You do an amazing job of keeping us all rounded up and moving in the right direction. I am very appreciative of your efforts as it must be rather time consuming. You’re right, I was lucky not to have worse effects from my random gravity test. I just channeled the advice of my rugby playing dad, if you’ve been tackled just go with it and you’ll land softer!Downstairs has had a chamfer up and the coffee table which draws ‘stuff’ like a magnet has been cleared off.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Hi all, made it to the sm yesterday but the car park was awash with slush and my feet were soaked by the time I got home. I had to change my socks and leave my shoes next to the radiator to dry. Checked them today and they are dry. I phoned LN before I went and apart from a few bits she needed she said she was waiting for the gas engineer as her boiler had gone off. The second time in as many weeks. By the time I got home he had been but had refused to sort it out as it is being caused by a dripping gutter which is dripping on the boiler vent and she has to get that fixed first as it is dangerous. On her other side they have had an extension built both out into the garden and up through the roof. We suspect the gutter might have been knocked a bit during all this but obviously we can't prove it so now she is stuck with no boiler until she can get someone out to sort it, I can't see that happening anytime soon considering we still have snow on the ground. Luckily her daughter was with her by the time I got home and she has a gas fire to keep warm. She decamped to her other daughter's today but I know she won't be happy until she gets back in her own house.
Today has been very cold and I have done very little except watch tv and knit though I have nearly finished the 2nd hot water bottle cover. Tomorrow I am going to visit a friend's son who has recently moved into his first house with his girlfriend. I have some pot plants to take as when I asked what they would like as a house warming that was what they said. Until I can see what they need they will be a start.
I have personal things for them for Christmas but I won't take them tomorrow as I am sure we will see them again before Christmas.
Re paddys market in Liverpool as mentioned in the post by Gers, the street no longer exists due to the bombing raids in WW2, it was very close to the docks. There is a large market in the area though now usually called Greaty market, as it is on Great Homer street. Cilla Blacks Mum used to have a stall there and I understand a few businesses were started there. It is still thriving and you can get just about anything there.
Take care everyone11 -

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedSunday was bitterly cold & foggy & the frost stayed until it was covered by snow. Snowed for about 2.5 hours from 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. to a depth of 1.5” to 2” Lots of fox paw prints spoilt the pristine snow 😂 I have spent the entire day sorting out my final post for this thread - including the Awards List + refining my first post for the 2023 Decluttering Thread 🙂 Dinner was steak (DH’s was tasty but tough & fatty 😩), oven chips, mushrooms, fried onions, plum tomatoes & peas 😋 Wudupa. Helped DSis wrap parcels for her son in France & her friend in the U.K. Even if she posts them tomorrow I am not convinced they will arrive in time 😔

Excellent decluttering QueenJess - only 20 shy of 5000 👏 I do like your targets for 2023 🙂
Thanks bit_by_bit - I am currently debating when to put up the 2023 Decluttering Thread 🤔 leaning towards Monday 19th 🤨 Sounds like your visit to Blackpool to see your family was a mainly positive experience 😊 As to your DH not only cooking but putting up decorations - he obviously missed you 😉 As he has made you happy I am awarding him a medal 🏅You got me blushing florianatwobob ☺️ Great work clearing the coffee table 👏
What a nightmare for your LN, Liverpool_Anne 😡 I am keeping everything crossed that she finds someone to sort out the gutter quickly & that the boiler can be restarted promptly🤞 A short stay with her daughter should be looked on as a mini break 😉 but I can nderstand her wishing to be in her own home for Christmas 🤞🤞🤞 Watching TV & knitting is the perfect antidote to a cold day 👏 Greaty Market sounds wonderful ☺️MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🥇 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
