2022 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN MrsSD

Hello, can I join in please? I know I'm ever so late to the thread and I won't get a year's worth of clutter out but it's a start.
We are putting our house on the market very soon but have to make it "viewable" - basically get rid of everything and make it minimalist. I have been decluttering and have got rid of a heck of a lot of stuff down to a storage unit we have rented. This is where the stuff we want to keep will be put..but imagine 32 years worth of stuff being decluttered, and I'm a semi hoarder, it's a nightmare..lol DH isn't much help!!
So if you don't mind I'd love to join you all, and I need to be accountable to something 😉
And just to start off I've decluttered 10 items to go to storage and thrown away a full black bin bag full.Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Hi Natty 👋
I've finished reading another book and put it to one side to return to Babs (Pop's partner).
I've also put out the general waste bin (bye bye toy guitars), recycling boxes ( one cans / glass / batteries & one paper.....oh so much paper 😊 ) and a carrier bag with the hairdryer in it. Is it sad to get soooo much satisfaction from putting out the bins (containing the fruits of my labour for the past 2 weeks)?
I'm stalling on the shelf crammed with notebooks. I'll just have a look what's there - no decisions.
Baby steps 😉

Welcome @Natty68 lovely to see you. I have nearly 30 years of things and until recently been making progress but slow at times. What an incentive you have.
Lost my diary and planner and failed to tackle frogs as couldn't remember them! Just made a long list for work and and 16 email/ calls for home so not with it earlier.
Off to bed as aim to be up early.
Take care all x11 -
Just added another 8 small frogs to be done this week, unfortunately on bits or paper.
Night11 -
DSis came on Tuesday and decluttered some cleaning frogs for me. She has taken ingredients away with her and will cook for the freezer so as to free up my time and energy to finish the clear out. Also taken front door curtains as they desperately need a clean. She says she wants to put up Christmas decorations for me this year so I need to get my skates on to clear the living room in time.
More papers and some photographs gone over the past two days. MC still looking bad but papers are slowly going.

Morning xx
Before coming down for a brew I had an urge to look in the drawers in my bedroom CoD. Son of TARDIS? Eek.
Anyhoo I discoved a men's toiletries gift set (I must have miscalculated last year's Christmas gifts) which I removed and added to this year's stack of gifts; some Christmas cards, which I've added to the box of cards recently purchased); and a scrap of birthday wrapping paper - binned. Note to self: Christmas gift labels are in middle drawer. Do not buy any more this year.
Of course I've come down to the stack of notebooks retrieved from the shelf yesterday.Rough count from where I'm sat would indicate 26+ unused notebooks. I'll aim for 50% reduction but I'm not making any promises. Is this my Achilles heels? (They are all lined, I've already checked!)
Thank you for my star Mrs SD. Hope you are OK lovely lady xx
Love to all

Welcome @Natty68
This is a great place for support and advice. Remeber that doing one thing extra, no matter how small is still a win. Happy decluttering
No decluttering yesterday as on childcare duties. Sadly its very very wet today so no allotment activity. DH has gone off to work out of the house for the day and I have lunch and tea with two different groups of friends.
I have to catch up with some messages and intend to do the floors downstairs and some decluttering in my bedroom upstairs. Got a few small health frogs to deal with too.

I'm really happy as I put out the recyclable stuff (not as happy with putting out the 'leftover' garbage - anything that can't be allocated to a recyclables container).Yesterday I went to the container park (only a week late
) and got rid of a boot full of recyclables, which meant it was free! I also received advice on the asbestos-procedure and whether laminate flooring is wood or not (no, it counts as construction material and needs to be paid for to discard).
