Sunday is almost like the weather it should be in November grey & overcast - but still dry & quite warm. The last 2 items of washing which I had left out on the whirligig were almost dry - 15 minutes in the td finished it off. 2nd beanie has been knitted & sewn up - it is a beanie 🥳 3rd one started now I know my pattern amendments work 🙂 DSis has done her washing, partially dried on whirligig but finishing off in td. DH has filled the bird feeders & water bowls & fed the worms. Tonight we are having a full roast beef dinner - beef & potatoes cooking & everything else prepped & ready to cook - timings all worked out 😉 Par boiled more potatoes than required so I can freeze some 🙂 Dinner was delicious - roast beef, roast potatoes, mooli radish & parsnips, carrots, broccoli & cauliflower & Yorkshire puddings & gravy.
1952 - 1954 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, cardboard packaging - recycled
1955 - 1956 Kitchen & Lr detritus - binned
Sounds like a perfect Saturday roundtuit 😊 As to your hard work decluttering the cupboard I am so impressed - just wow 🤩 Such a lot decluttered & the new arrangement is a thing of beauty 👏 Even more impressed that you did that before getting dressed 👏 TARDIS cupboard indeed 😉 Talk about excellent decluttering 👏 Great idea to break up the session with a coffee & a read 😊 So many items decluttered to CS & DS 👏 Tongue in cheek comment coming up 🙃 - your DS might start restricting his visits 🤣
Back in a moment as currently watching the results programme of SCD.

More papers gone from filing cabinet and had a good sort out of ‘mission control’ (breakfast bar in kitchen is where I currently do my paperwork - plan to be using desk in little bedroom in the near future). MC doesn’t look any better which is disappointing.
Slowly getting books back onto bookshelves and plan to get more things out of shed tomorrow.

Apologies for not coming back straightaway 😔 I think the SCD ‘result’ was fair but don’t envy the judges next week as there are now 8 great non professional dancers 😥 Then got caught up watching old episodes of Call the Midwife, Death in Paradise & a film called Nine Bullets.
By the way, I made my first ever rice pudding woo hoo 😀 Tasted fine but was very stodgy i.e. needed to slice it 😔 I will try again very soon as I have plenty of milk 🤞
grandmanerd, not to be too picky but surely DS2 can speak to his bank & get them to stop sending things to the wrong address 🤔 Not only would it save you having to dispose of his junk mail but would also stop any further upset. What a great strategy - see it & sort it 👏 Good luck on your shopping expedition 🍀
Hi kiss_me_now9 👋 Lovely to see you 🙂 You have made a great start & well done on sorting out the champagne glasses 👏 Hopefully it won’t cost too much to get your wedding dress cleaned 🤞
Interesting information Floss, thanks 👏
Great work Fizz2015 👏 Your original target was 1000 + dealing with frogs. Amended to 52 - target reached 👏 then upped to 72 on page 317 🙂 I have made a note of your new target & wish you every success 😊
Sorry to hear about the cold EnergyShifter 🙁 but pleased to hear that you have given yourself a bit of TLC & started knitting 😊 Shame that DS didn’t mention his dislike of the bi-fold door before you wasted an hour of your precious time 😉 Although channelling your frustration led to a great deal of decluttering - well done 👏
Excellent decluttering vulpix 👏 The horse brasses sound beautiful & how lovely that they will be on permanent display in your son’s home 😊 Two hours of leaf sweeping 😥 - you must be exhausted 🥱
I did smile at the idea of an unruly washing machine, kiss_me_now9 😉 so better safe than sorry getting your wedding dress cleaned.
QueenJess, what you call ‘no proper decluttering’ is just not true ‘wagging finger emoji’ You have done some excellent decluttering 👏 I agree with TC77- please be kind to yourself 🙏
Great work TC77 👏 A little decluttering each day is a win 🙂 Good luck with getting the 1910 muslin dress cleaned 🍀 Perhaps it could be donated to a local theatre group?
Excellent decluttering grandmanerd 👏
What a spectacular view florianatwobob & that afternoon tea has me drooling 🤤 A very productive weekend 👏 How fortuitous that the AWOL photo of your great uncle allowed you to find it 😉
Excellent work oceanspirit 👏 I am sure MC does look better - you just need to remind yourself that soon it will be completely clear when the desk is brought into service 🙂

Well Friday got a small set of drawers from the back bedroom (will be new kitchen next year) to its new home in the village. Also got a bag to the CS. DS birthday presents dropped off with him.
Saturday was a lovely night out for a lovely meal with DS and his family.
Still the ironing pile is giving me that look
Sold some items on ebaywill get them out today.
Will need to put some more on.
Decluttered some time at work all weekend while Sunday DH decluttered the gardens of autumnal waste.
Need to start packing my suitcase as am away with the girls 2 weeks today. Found a swimming costume hiding in a drawer. Just looking for some older items that won't need to come home too. Will be a minimum pack as I haven't got a bigger suitcase and cannot justify spending the money just now. Getting a bit excited. DH will have a week of peace with the dogs.
Have a good week Peeps

We have a tentative date for the start of the downstairs renovation with a contractor the new neighbour recommended. The new neighbour owns a large diy-store in Brussels, and because the contractor will work on our houses at the same time, he offered a €10,000 discount. We are now doing our final checks on whether he has paid his social premiums (otherwise we are on the hook for any missing, even from before we hired him!), and whether he will arrange and pay the necessary insurances. So, last weekend, we cleared out the ground floor of our home (well, mainly). 1 bag full of old soft plastics (wrappings, etc), 3 boxes of old paper, 1 bin bag, 2 large bag of hard plastics. 3 moving boxes with items 'for Africa' (I had 1 open all th tiem, the moment it was full, it was moved to the storage area and a new box was labelled 'for Africa' and put in its place.2 Sofas were put in the storage area, 1 load of found clothing washed and dried, the bunkbeds that were in our office were separated and are now in dds' bedrooms. The beds will be there until the bedroom are finished, then we will either paint them to match the bedroom, or buy new ones and send these to Africa.2 small Billy-cupboard have come out of the storage area and are put to use in dds' bedrooms. These will also be replaced once the rooms are more finished and we have more funds
.
I have mislaid a vacuum accessory: the round brush head. Husband has finally decided that I was right, and to actually paint the exposed (ugly) beams in dds' bedrooms and dust is all over the newly painted walls. As long as there are no stairs leading to the mezzanines, I cannot reach the beams, so I had to persuade him to do it. I also tried to persuade him the walls and beams need another layer of paint, but he decided everything was 'good enough' (do you hear the exasperation in my voice?). Everything is patchy now....Let's hope dds put posters everywhere, and I'll make sure the lights point downwards to leave the beams in shadows.

Motivated myself to do some cleaning and tidying on a pottering around scale.
1225 Found a box of puzzles, pens, unused postcards and rehoused them with others of the same kind
1226 Sorted children's crayon and pen box. Reduced substantially and bag full in CS bag
1227-1236 Giving myself 10 points for random cleaning and sorting - floors swept and washed where possible, various very old pots of cleaning stuff emptied and pots recycled (probably from MIL's house) items put away and kitchen surfaces cleaned. Empty small shelf in utility room which will be good for incoming Christmas things.
Dehumidifier here again for a few weeks. Done some more surveys and £20 cash downloaded to bank account.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟
