This week has felt like a bit of a slog - so pleased to be finished work for the week.  I struggled to get through the day yesterday as I had a sore nose & headache as a result of Tuesday's door incident!  I have, like so many others, been struggling with the weather also.  Trying not to put the heating on is wearing thin!  The house isn't terribly cold but neither is it cosy and its so hard to dry things off so there's a build up of laundry.  Compared with other many other people I am lucky as I could afford to pay the extra bills if absolutely necessary - so this a grumble rather than a fully fledged complaint.  I have to say - I do feel really quite moany - I think a lot of is is that I am getting anxious about my eye op - I'm trying not to dwell on it but its there just under the surface.... 

Its DS' birthday next week and the idea is that we will go away for a City Break for a few days just before my op.  I haven't been able to get my head around organising it at all so I have asked DS to present me with some options tomorrow.

@Siebrie that's a gorgeous dolls house. And one that you can tell has been a labour of love by your father.

You've all been busy decluttering, I've only done a couple of things, well 2 black sacks of rubbish and the rest of the broken up dresser that was from the living room, to the household tip.

Not back at work till next Wednesday so balancing no spend days with the need to have some sort of social life!

Agree about daisy's post. 
@oceanspirit I think you suggested taking a day a week leave which I think I'm going to start doing. Request to carry over to next year turned down. Have to think how I can focus declutter efforts as I can be very random and just move stuff from room to room.
Went for swum but forgot costume so headed home    looked out nearly  beyond use veg and made a soup and risotto so used up food. 
Like with like is the way forward but a struggle for me. I have a too big house over 3 floors and my excuse for having sets of things in different places.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks

2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.

3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV during daylight hours 😉 AB2 playing zero - 20/9/2022

4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.

5. Don’t put it down, put it away

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed

So Tuesday I finished beanies numbered 4 & 5. Dinner was chicken & mushroom risotto. Wudupa.

Wednesday was a wet & miserable day with the wind making the rain practically horizontal at times 🙁Dealt with 2 days mail, paid CC bill & checked accounts + thinned out a couple of document folders. Also sorted out C… cards & will start writing tomorrow. Dinner was the second of our Hel*o F*esh meals. DH & I prepared it together - walnut & rosemary crusted lamb steaks, mash, creamed spinach & chantenay carrots - yummy 🤤 Another success 🙂 Wudupa. I was very pleased to learn that the postage stamp change has been postponed for 6 months 🥳 

Thursday is currently dry but windy. DH & I have both had a bath (DSis had hers yesterday) Today is the big day - War of the Worlds Immersive Experience 🙂 I am sort of looking forward to it 🤔 

1963 - 1971 Kitchen recycling x 2, drinks cans x 2, plastic jar, 2 plastic tubs, paper packaging, cardboard packaging - recycled 

1972 - 1975 Kitchen detritus x 2, plastic packaging, 0.5” shredding - binned

So sorry to hear that you are struggling roundtuit 🙁 Hopefully a bit of time away from work will revive you. Some TLC is definitely on the cards after all you have been ploughing through the decluttering 👏Flying definitely counts as decluttering 🙂

Sparky arrived and we now have light and power to the shed (it’s so exciting) and extra sockets in the kitchen! 

Paving slabs need to go back down today, freezer out to the shed this weekend and then rearranging things again back to their original places. 

Then off to Newcastle for a couple of days.

Oh my goodness Mrs_SD, thank you for the stars!  Don't really feel like I deserve them but will display them with pride!

That dolls house is amazing @Siebrie 😍 My grandad made one for me when I was a little girl and it's still in my parent's house because they won't let me pass it on to someone who would actually get some use out of it.  Especially love the wreath on the door.

Have somehow managed to wrap all my Christmas presents already 🤯 so all the packaging has been put in the recycling etc.  Presents are now taking up space in our bedroom as best friend is coming to stay this weekend so they've had to be moved off their usual home of the spare bed.  Quite pleased with myself that I'm not going to be doing a massive mad dash clean as I've been doing a little bit each night.  Just the bathroom to clean tonight and a vacuum round 👍

Finished reading my book so it can go back to Babs.

Going to go up and get dressed - I'll take a case of vinyl single records up with me. There are 5 cases of singles sat in the living room - and I'm keeping them - but they can be relocated to a RoD for now. Ready to be played when I'm sorted enough to have room to put a record player. If I take a case up each time I go that'll be a bit more floor in the living room. 

What fun. 

Funny how a sideways move is still progress on the journey.
