2022 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN MrsSD

Not very good at posting on here.
Will aim to do more but DH tested positive so he is isolating. He hates being such inside so is slightly stressful 
He has ordered a skip so decluttering has been done.

37-38 broken Christmas decorations.
39 jumper which is too big for DH
40-55 bags of rubble and metal which we had dug up from the garden.
56-60 old stumps of tree trunks 
61-63 broken pots
64 old fence
65 broken Christmas tree stand

We have the skip for at least another week or so. More will leave the house.

Morning all xx 

I haven't fallen off the EDT - I work Tuesday to Friday and nothing much gets done on those days except the everyday recycling goes out of the door each morning.  I have been reading and cheering you all on from the baggage carriage 🙂
Back in my seat now and on Annual Leave this week so at home until 18th January. Woot woot.
Going to have a quiet day today to replenish my spoons and plot, plan, ponder and devise my campaign for 2022. I do love a list, or two 😊

Uu shower gel tube thingy was recycled on the day it finally gasped its last splodge....and new tube taken from stash and placed in bathroom. (So I won't be leaving the shower  and dripping naked through the house to find it 😊)
Last week's TV guide is on the side with the rest of the daily recycling (cans, cardboard, plastic, paper) waiting to be put in the appropriate bin when I'm dressed.
Junk mail left the house too swiftly to find a place to loiter.
And I've decluttered 4 lbs of chubbage just by eating less - so, not a total train wreck.

Good Morning,

 Yesterday was a test. Setting foot in a charity shop. Just dropped off, I did pick a vase up ,put it down and another lady put it in her basket. Fate. I sent about 5 glass vases to DS's DIY wedding last summer. Never got any back so don't know what happened to them. Probs went to the chazzer. I was given a bouquet of flowers at our fake Christmas by DD1's BF. Had to put them in a jug. I don't have the room to store large vases anyway.

 The weather cut up a bit rough coming over the tops on the way home from the hospital so we went to the pub to meet some friends about half way home. Lady friend admired my handbag so I emptied it and to her surprise gave it her. I have 2 others very similar. The storm had passed for the journey home. It was slow going and we passed several vehicles stuffed into the scenery.

 Mr V off work today so I need to make use of him. He is taller than me, not a tall bloke just about anyone is taller than me! I have no chairs in the house now to stand on so he will put stuff on shelves for me. Contents of pantry are still all over the downstairs. We will tidy up then take the old door to be dipped in Manchester.

@balabooberlies I’m not sure if you can get Apps on your phone but ClearScore is free and gives you an update monthly, it also shows the months when you missed payments etc, it really helped me out of my pickle a while ago and it’s showing that I’m 3 months off having no missed payments for 6 years. I’ve found it has helped take a lot of stress away by facing it each month xx

Morning All.
I have been busy with work all week so slowed down on the decluttering front. I tried to make myself get off the sofa in the evenings to do a bit, but was too comfy . I am pretty much up to date with laundry, just one load to do today and house tidy-ish. Got some cleaning to be done, food shop to order, but hopefully a bit of sorting through a cupboard or two at some point for some outs to report. It is grey and wet here, but not as cold.  Wishing everyone either a productive or restful day depending on what you have planned .

@balabooberlies I have a money spreadsheet that has monthly tabs for my bills account plus one called "savings". That tab also has several lines showing my loan & c/c balances, knocking off their DD & any extra payments every month. Its nice to see the balances reducing, and to be able to play around to see the impact of different payments x

Had a bit of a dither yesterday with my xmas cards and a xmas table centrepiece. The cards I usually cut up for tags but I have a so many it will take me at least another 5 years to use them all up, so they have been recycled. The centrepiece was given to Dad by his neighbour ( she makes them ) but he has no use for it, so he passed it on to me. Do I love it ? No, it's far to big and  cumbersome and you have to keep playing chess with it when the table is full of food too, so to the cs it's going. There job done, thanks to all on this thread who were in my head telling me to make a decision now and not put these things away till next year.

feel more settled now that I have faced what is a mountain of debt.  Last year whilst helping to care for my Dad I dropped the ball.  This year is about facing it and tackling it.  I have checked Debt Free Wanabe, and Experian.  I have formulated a plan for selling all my excess stuff to help towards it.  Joining this wonderful thread has helped my focus.  Selling my first ever item on the bay was huge.  I have the oddest fears.  But now I know how to list, vital to selling.  These may seem such small things to others but to me they were mental mountains to climb.  I am slow but I do get there.

However, the kindness and generosity here has bolstered and held me.  Couldn't have done it without you all.

am not at the spreadsheet stage just yet.  I have tried but had to resort to going back to notebook and pencil.

Perhaps this year I will spend some time trying to learn a spreadsheet program.  Perhaps.

Four bottles being collected today by a lady that turns then into lights.
