@2Scratters I would call them & ask what days he works so you can avoid them, also mention that you "struggled to take in all the information as he spoke so quickly" and hopefully you will find out who's the best person to see.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hi all, just popping in to say hi.
I have been trying to catch up but I am sure I have lost track of many things so hugs to all would like them.
My appointment with the nurse has been cancelled due to the funeral and has been rearranged for 17th October! Another 4 weeks wait and I am still really tired
Since I last posted I have driven to Morecambe twice two days running, to visit OHs nephew and family who were visiting from Germany. Really lovely to see them as it has been nearly 4 years since we have been able to get to see them what with covid and then OHs illness, but it was a lot of driving with early starts and late home and I was absolutely knackered.
I have been doing some decluttering in the garden trying to get my moneys worth from the green waste bin charge before they stop collecting for the winter. I have even helped to fill LNs bin. I have also chopped some fire wood and OH was cold on Thursday evening so I lit the fire. I am trying to hold off putting the heating on until October but as OH seems to feel cold all the time I don't know if I will manage it.
I have to say I am at saturation point with all the mourning for the late queen. I feel for the family who have lost a Mum and a grandma but quite honestly she didn't really touch my life and Charles will do as good a job. I think she had an amazing life and did a good job but I am up to here with the constant coverage on tv and radio. I also think expecting a 70+ year old man to stand around a coffin for hours after spending days travelling around the country is expecting too much. He will be worn out before the funeral happens and when is he going to get the time to grieve? I am also a bit annoyed about the redundancy notices for the staff of clarence house which were issued before the funeral has even happened. I do however hope it will help to heal the rift between Harry and Will, they have had enough grief in their lives already.
Well the sun is out though it is coolish so time to get busy, another good gardening day if I can summon the energy
Take care everyone

I believe the redundancy notices legally had to be given out at the earliest opportunity despite requests to delay until after the funeral.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

@Siebrie thank you for your comment about not having to read all the posts...it felt quite freeing. However as usual RL had plans for me and I had a nasty fall and cut up my leg and hands really badly and so ended up on the sofa anyway catching up on the posts🤦🏼♀️
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger I wondered if anyone had seen the bit about the BS Executive toy!😉
@QueenJess I love your notebook.
@vulpix I will come to your decluttering party. To be honest we are all getting rid of so much ...how come there is so much still to go?
So the trailer sold for £200 in less than an hour. Not sure if I made it too cheap but I am very happy with that. The garage has more space ,but I still don't have room to put a car in (and it's a double garage)
RL got in the way again yesterday after I was up all night With Dog no 1 who kept collapsing on his feet and was in a right state until about 5am when he finally went to sleep. The vet thinks he had a fit and was disoriented. He is old for a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Blow me down in the afternoon Dog no 2 collapsed and wet herself. She has a dodgy heart and the vet has changed her medication. Both are still alive this morning and quite perky🤦🏼♀️ Needless to say no decluttering was done yesterday.
This morning I have done 30 minutes decluttering in the study. I am amazed at how stuff has piled up again in such a small space of time. Also made a start on the drawer that was my hubbys in the filing cabinet. Mostly because I was trying to find the portable battery pack for the phone and realised there was a lot of tut in there.
So lots of bits of paper gone. iPad protector gone onto freecycle. Binoculars moved as I have so many pairs that I need to find a new home for some of them.Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D11 -
Afternoon, gorgeous day. No decluttering instead took a day trip to the town where Gavin & Stacey is filmed. Beautiful clear views across the Bristol Channel to Somerset.
A real Indian summer in Wales today.9 -
Not much decluttering going on here apart from the end of last weekend (I found the notes of what I decluttered in my phone, so I obviously haven’t posted them here). Work is totally mad and I’m working all hours. Hopefully will ease off after next week and then I can reinvigorate decluttering activities and try to organise myself as my to do list is out of control as usual.Decluttering activities:
4217-18 - stationery items used up
4219-20 - plastic bags (reused)
4221-46 - craft stuff (given away)
4247 - an old pack of nappies given to charitable cause

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Friday was a bright mostly sunny day but chilly. DSis did her washing & managed to line dry with a 15 minute stint in the td to take off the chill. I wrote a shopping list for DH & sent him shopping. Everything put away. Spent the day watching The Queue or clearing down programmes from the TV planner 😔 Dinner was Chinese for DSis & curries for DH & me which means that we are having the same for dinner tonight. Saturday is another bright, blue skies, sunny day but rather chilly. DH is watching MotoGP practice sessions & then qualifying. DSis is in her room & I am watching TV whilst typing this.
1518 - 1524 Kitchen recycling, 2 newspapers, 2 booklets, drinks cans, cardboard packaging - recycled
1525 - 1526 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging - binned
Excellent work on the emails Deni_debt-free_dreamer 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ on its way.
Nothing wrong with using 10 minutes as a guideline bit_by_bit - as long as you didn’t tire yourself out 🙂 Excellent work & you got a lot done 👏 Very pleased to hear that you are feeling better 🙂 and thank you so much for my ⭐️ - already added 🙂
You are very welcome vulpix 🙂 DSS is definitely a super hero - paramedic, car mechanic & DIY expert - when does he get time to sleep? Good luck with your rocking chair project 🍀 Sorry to hear about MiL being one of the ‘toxic people’ Just musing but I wonder what would happen if all the ‘toxic people’ were put together 🤔 Please give MrV a big hug from me 🤗
GrannyKate, relieved to hear that the water damage is not as extensive as it could have been 😮💨 but sorry to hear that the reparations will be so disruptive 😔 Happy Birthday to either you or GS3?🥳 That was a 2/3rds increase in price 😱 rather puts inflation into perspective, sadly 😞 Great decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering of greetings cards, 2Scratters 👏 I imagine it was made more pleasurable when DH was assisting you 😉 As to the chap at the opticians, it might be worth an email to address your concerns…… but only after you have your glasses 😉 Congratulations on your 2lb weight loss 🥳
Nice to hear that you are in better spirits EnergyShifter 🙂 Well done on your decluttering & your restraint in the charity shops 👏
Better idea than mine Floss 👏 a very diplomatic solution to 2Scratters ‘wayward’ chap at the opticians 🙂
Nice to see you Liverpool_Anne 👋 Shame about the rearranged appointment with the nurse - yet another knock on effect of The Queen’s demise 😔 Everything seems to have gone a bit OTT & I have realised, after reading your thoughts, that I have also reached saturation point & sadly am having rather ungenerous ‘thoughts’ coupled with wondering what nasty surprises our gubbernment have sneaked through whilst the media have their eyes turned away 😔 How lovely to be able to catch up with family after such a long time 😊 Great work in your garden 👏
Floss, if that is correct I hope that the redundancy package is a good one 🤞
Ouch teachergirl 🤕 I hope you are taking it easy 🙂 Lovely supportive cheerleading 🙂 Well done on selling the trailer so quickly - 2 happy people - you & the buyer 👏 So sorry to hear about your doggies 😞 but keeping everything crossed that both of them stay perky & give you no more cause for concern. Excellent decluttering 👏 as it sounds like the clutter gremlins have moved in 😉
Sounds like you have had a lovely day Fizz2015 😊 Nature is such a wonderful restorative 🙂
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 Hopefully work will start to ease off sooner rather than later 🤞

Hi.Oh granny Kate. What a pain. I do hope you are sorted soon.Good that you are feeling more chirpy Energy shifter.Teacher girl, take more water with it! Seriously it’s a shock to fall over as an adult. I hope the dogs are ok now.I have been in funk too. I slept badly. I have reached the end of my tolerance for renovations. It started in January and has been ongoing. We have messaged the bathroom guy and put him off. I can’t face 3 weeks of indoor work atm.My house is near the canal. The canal and river trust are doing a lot of work as part of repairs to the reservoir which feeds the canal. You may remember a few years ago it was all over the news when the dam threatened to burst. Anyhow a feeder culvert goes under our road and they will close the road for 2 weeks whilst they upgrade the culvert. So no cars in or out for 2 weeks.I have spent the day in the garden. I don’t know if it’s being outside or not expecting workmen, but I feel much better. I have planted out many more plants that I brought in pots from the last house. I also treated myself to some heather and cyclamen for a trough DSS put up under the front window. I am pleased with how the garden is doing.Hold the front page! Mr V has very generously let me have a shed!🤣 Shed sorting is Mondays job. I will put the wood garden furniture in it.Laters Vx:10
