Tuesday was a rainy, damp day which I spent in my dressing gown reading & watching TV in the TLC Carriage 😉 Dinner was pizza from D. Wudupa
Wednesday was a gloriously sunny day & yes I did get dressed 😉 DH drove me into Lewisham & I dropped off one bag of DSis’s clothes (decluttered by DSis several months ago which I had sorted 2 months ago 😱) + one bag of rags, small bag of mini toiletry items + hand knitted items - pair of wrist warmers, 3 scarves & 6 beanies. For some reason the chap in the CS was surprised I was donating the hand knitted items 🤔 but very pleased 😄 We then went on to A*da, both got some cash then I bought some breaded chicken for dinner & DH filled up with petrol. Dinner was the chicken with boiled potatoes & sweetcorn 🤤 Wudupa. Vegetable box delivered early - nice selection 🙂
Thursday was a mainly dry day. I did get dressed & I finished my book 😉 Dinner was pork steaks, fried lo mash, peas & beans, mash & broccoli (from the veg box) Wudupa

TC77, I can just see you greeting the decorator brandishing a vacuum 😂 Re the work issue, whatever you decide, the person involved does need to be made aware that their behaviour is not acceptable.
Well said GrannyKate 🙂 I have to say that I for one was gratified that the Queen died in Scotland, a place she loved 🙂 Sorry to hear about the major plumbing issue 😞 Hopefully the insurance company won’t drag their feet 🤞Fingers crossed that DD has no problems re her trip to London 🤞 Enjoy your tour of Lincoln castle. Keep up the good work 👏
2Scratters, hope you find your pencil extender 🤞 Excellent decluttering 👏 The sales people in opticians can be annoyingly pushy - especially reluctant to let you keep your frames 😖
vulpix, excellent work by DSS 👏 are you sure you can’t keep him for a few more days 😉😉
Excellent decluttering weenancy 👏 What a bonus that the collections are on the same day 😉 Good luck with the book sale 🍀
Great plan florianatwobob - you get to read the books & the cs earns a bit of money 🙂
bit_by_bit, sounds like you had a nice time in Wales 😊 Sorry to hear that your health has been giving you cause for concern 😞 but very well done on reducing your cholesterol & no longer being pre diabetic 👏 Also pleased to hear that the relationship with DiL1 is settling down 🙂 Although rather bemused by the ‘baby care itinerary’ - very odd 🙄 although I was amused that the baby is ignoring it 😁 You definitely have a lot on your plate but it looks like you have planned as much as reasonably possible & have factored in some self care 👏
vulpix, our DSS is a marvel - one Gold Star ⭐️ coming his way 👏 You have also earned a Gold Star ⭐️for getting the builder to do a few extra tasks 😉 If you have the space it is always difficult to remember that you don’t need to fill it 😉😉 Looking forward to the party whenever it is 😉🤣
Deni_debt-free_dreamer, I am sending get well wishes to DD1 for a swift recovery. Hopefully I will see you in the TLC Carriage in the not too distant future 🤞
EnergyShifter, no wonder you were upset - 7 months so far away 😢 Talk about abdicating parental responsibilities 😖 I hope he is explaining it to your DS. Well done on finding & using your lightbox 🙂Sounds like you had a great time at your cousin’s 50th party 🎉 Excellent decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏
Great work TC77 👏 Pleased to hear that you are getting on OK with your decorator 🙂 even if the house is slightly messier than you would like 😉
Really lovely to see you basketcase 👋😊 There has been a lot going on in your life. Very pleased to hear that DD is now enjoying a new job & has her own flat in Edinburgh 🙂 Excellent work getting most of DD’s belongings in one place ……. with her dad 🎉 🥳 One Gold Star ⭐️ coming your way. You must have oodles of space now 😉 Sorry to hear that you succumbed to Covid 😞 Good for you getting a temp job which funded a holiday in Croatia 👏 Sounds like you had a wonderful time 🙂 Good luck with your new fitness regime 🍀 I hope the allotment is providing lots of hg goodies 🤞
Fizz2015 hope you enjoyed your child free day 🙂 Very pleased to hear that the job situation is on the way to being resolved 👏
Nice to see you teachergirl 👋 The holiday sounds lovely & I am pleased to hear that the weather was kind 🙂 Good luck with the sale of the trailer 🍀
bit_by_bit, very pleased to hear that you are looking after yourself 👏 A good use of your energy resources - 10 minutes per task & resting in between 🙂 Hg potatoes taste so much better than shop bought 😋
Well said Siebrie 👏
Lovely supportive post vulpix - great cheerleading 👏 Great title for a movie - “Home Alone - Bliss” Excellent decluttering 👏 & hopefully the end is in sight 🤞
2Scratters, thank you for sharing. Sometimes the only thing to do is cut family ties & I admire you for not only being courageous enough to do it but also for your sticking to your convictions.
Good luck with your family situation Floss.
Excellent decluttering EnergyShifter 👏 Good luck with the AquaAerobics - hopefully it will help with your dodgy knee 🍀 Very impressed that you got yourself out of the doldrums.
TC77, great observation re life being more difficult than we are ever told 😔 Hope the decorator has been efficient as well as quick 🤞
Sending hugs to all my decluttering friends. Hopefully we can all weather the storms in our lives & come out the other side stronger, fitter, happier & clutter free 🙂

A lovely sunny day here.
Well I actually didn't do jobs for ten minutes only but I did get a lot done yesterday. I concentrate on the downstairs.
Cleaned the kitchen down and floors plus mopped. A big task as there is a lot of surface area. The floor tiles extend from the front door through the kitchen to an extension.
Did some seed sorting whilst watching tv. Getting the dried seeds out of the seed heads was fiddly but therapeutic.
Had a visit from a friend who took a pile umbrellas and pokemon cards.
Emptied 4 large bags fro life with stuff for gardening, cat emergencies and just 'stuff'
Had a visit from my MiL.
I am generally feeling better and am going over the allotment today.

Good morning.Thank you for our medals Mrs SD. DSS is indeed a hero. Such a decent bloke. He is a paramedic in his spare time when he is not helping everyone out with diy or car problems. 🤣
I forgot to say we gave him a petrol hedge trimmer. A large item gone. At this rate I may be allowed to store something in one of the sheds as it is half empty. I have a rocking chair waiting for me to strip paint off.Thank you 2scratters for your post. I agree decluttering the mind is just as important as physical decluttering. The two are interlinked for me.Also thank you for sharing your situation with your Mother. I think it is common but not everyone has your resolve. After a couple of years of knowing my MIL I restricted contact. I was shocked to realise that I was upset after every time I saw her. I have only ever experienced such a damaged person a couple of times and they were work colleagues and I had to remove myself from that too. I am not built for the cut and thrust of toxic relationships. On the other hand poor Mr V is left distraught on a daily basis.Vx:10 -
Just a few things to report in. RL intrudes all the time. My leak appears on the surface to have done little damage but surveyor who came yesterday confirmed water under flooring in hall, main bathroom and kitchen. They will all have to come up and skirting boards will need to be replaced. They will bring humidifiers in to dry it out then replace and redecorate - a big job I guess. Looks like I have the house to myself unless visitors come so birthday will be quiet. Took GS3 out for birthday meal. Only myself DS2 and three children. Simple two course meal and drinks - just short of £100!! It would have been nearer £60 a year ago.
1089 Birthdays gifts and cards given out
1090/91 Both lawns mowed
1092 Weeds to brown bin before it was emptied this week.
1093 Assorted committee frogs munched up
1094 Various papers to recycling

Afternoon Peeps,
well yesterday saw the disappearance of the the life time (40 years) of cards from engagement to wedding, birth and hosts of others in between. DH came in whilst I was going through them and we did them together. There was too many to put into my new to me smaller shredder from my "adopted big sister" neighbour pre owned for me and decluttered from her house. Found DS christening paperwork a bag of very small glass ornaments DH thought they came off the wedding cakeand a pair of first bootees knitted in 2 ply wool and they have survived no moth attack.
Decluttered 3 frozen meals from the freezer - well they weren't really meals just portions of mushy peas turned into soup with the LO of the pork joint from the other day.
Sorted some clothes away till next summer, me thinking we are reducing our lot yet there is a black bin bag full
Decluttered some car fuel on a wasted trip to the opticians to collect my re glazed glasses and it was the same fella who dealt with me when I took them in. Spoke far too fast and if he would slow down and talk to people, not at them, he would have not made the error of changing varifocals into bifocals by checking what was needed in the bifocal, he also had the audacity of blaming the optician. I'll be making a phone call to check before the next journey.
Decluttered another 2lb off me
Have a good weekend all.
